We welcome Pride Month by diving into the inequities that 2SLGBTQ+ community face inside and outside the workplace. It's time we shift from performative gestures to meaningful action. Diversity and inclusion aren’t just checkboxes. They’re about dismantling the deep-seated biases and creating spaces that truly celebrate and uplift every hue and shade of the rainbow. Let’s extend these conversations beyond June. Diversity isn’t a once-a-year topic; it’s a continuous commitment to understanding, inclusion, and respect. Whether you’re a temporary worker or a CEO, your voice and actions contribute to a more equitable workplace and society. We are also looking at speakers from the 2SLGBTQ+ community who would like to share their story. DM us and we will work with you on the same. #ShareTheFailure #FuckupNights #socialequity #workplacediversity #DEI #diversity #DEIA #DEIB #socialawareness #pride2024 #capitalism #antiracism #LGBTIQA

🚀 Championing LGBTQ2+ Inclusion in the Trades 🌈 At OAWA AB we strive for inclusion and advocacy for all. Here are 6 impactful ways we can support and uplift our LGBTQ2+ colleagues to create an inclusive and welcoming environment: Use Inclusive Language: Words matter. Make a conscious effort to use gender-neutral terms and respect preferred pronouns. Simple changes can make a big difference in making everyone feel welcome. Avoid Stereotypes: Challenge assumptions and stereotypes. Celebrate the individuality and diverse skills each person brings to the table. Listen and Learn: Be open to hearing the experiences of LGBTQ2+ individuals. Listening with empathy and seeking to understand their perspectives fosters a supportive community. Diversity Training: Participate in and advocate for diversity and inclusion training. These programs are essential in educating ourselves and others about the importance of an inclusive workplace. Safe Reporting Channels: Ensure there are confidential and safe ways for reporting discrimination or harassment. Everyone should feel secure in addressing concerns without fear of retaliation. Speak Up Against Discrimination: Be an ally. Stand up and speak out when you witness discrimination or harassment. Silence can be interpreted as acceptance, so let’s use our voices to advocate for equality. Together, we can build a trades community that values and respects everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. 🌟 #WomenInTrades #LGBTQ2Support #InclusiveWorkplace #DiversityAndInclusion #Empowerment #AlliesInTheTrades

https://lnkd.in/eUV9k_QD 2ZQHT160 - Work Weirdness You are listening to 2ZQHot Takes, where we discuss issues both big and small. This time, I'll be talking about Work Weirdness. Updates on the louche, raffish appeal of defying RTO mandates, managers demanding office attendance and losing face when performance is not impacted by remote work, the institutionalization of remote and hybrid work, going ‘off-camera’ during virtual meetings, 'Coffee Badging,' generational disconnects and disparities in office etiquette, telephonophobia, meeting punctuality and more. #2ZQ, #2ZQHT, #LGBTQ, #TVHTimKirk, #RTO, #Hybrid, #OfficeEtiquette,#CoffeeBadging

#TheMorningInclusive IDAHOBIT 2024 As an out cis-gender gay man who is a husband and a father, on International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), I ask my network to stand in solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ community. This day is not just a call to action against discrimination; it's a celebration of uniqueness, a reminder of the importance of inclusivity, and a commitment to creating environments where everyone can be their bold, authentic self. In a world that often tries to fit us into boxes, we must remember that our strength lies in our uniqueness. Every person has the right to live without fear of prejudice or persecution, regardless of who they love or how they identify. As professionals, we have the power to foster workplaces that not only accept but celebrate, value, and nurture every individual's originality. It's not just about policies and procedures; it's about sustaining a culture where everyone knows they truly belong. When we create safe and welcoming spaces, we unlock the potential for innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Let's use this day to reflect on our actions and attitudes. We must ask ourselves: Are we contributing to a world where every voice is heard, and every person is valued? Are we emboldened enough to stand up for others, to champion the cause of equality, and to be allies in the truest sense? Let's pledge to sustain these spaces of belonging, not just today but every day. We build a vibrant, resilient, and united community when we support each other in being our authentic selves. WHO IS WITH ME?!? #IDAHOBIT #Authenticity #LGBTiQ+ #Solidarity #Belonging #Inclusivity #Diversity #Equity #Accessibility

1wWell I'm so happy that queerness is sacred with Wawanesa, but the fact is tyhe main goal should be taking care of those that pay the p[remiums and they have been a complete failure with that. I fact being almost fraudulent. I guess is all about taking it all in...Why does Wawanesa Insurance use words they don't understand, like Truth, Honesty - words that are completely foreign to their vocabulary. Wawanesa has an allergic reaction to doing a fair job for the policy holders. The only department that is efficient with this outfit is the one that collects the monthly premiums right on time, other than that, they arte worthless. WAWANESA INSURANCE is today the WORST INSURANCE OPTION. Almost better to not have insurance than have Wawanesa. At least you save money instead of throwing it away. Want to know more, contact me. I'll open your eyes with verifiable honesty.
