This World Homelessness Day, Wayfair is highlighting our partnership with Community Solutions, Inc. - an organization that is working to create a lasting end to homelessness that leaves no one behind. As one of the first recipients of Wayfair’s Neighborhood Fund, Community Solutions’ Built for Zero movement, a national effort to measurably reduce and end homelessness. The Prairie Solar project in Illinois developed by BayWa r.e. Americas, combines our collective purchasing power to directly impact large-scale, environmentally safe solar projects. Liza Lefkowski, Wayfair’s VP of Merchandising, Proprietary Brands and Stores, was named to Furniture Today’s People to Watch List of 2024! The list features 20 industry leaders and top executives whose career path and trajectory put them in a unique position to change the industry they serve. In 2023, we saw business from diverse-owned suppliers at Wayfair double. Shardé Marchewski and Margaret Pierson recently co-authored a story for the Harvard Business Review on how spotlighting minority-owned businesses can drive results. “These suppliers often haven’t had broad exposure to customers,” said Shardé. “Their products feel fresh and new, helping retailers attract and retain customers.” Read the story here: https://lnkd.in/gnF6Uhb3
