Being a Preeminent Producer is not a job. It is a lifestyle. If you can embrace that lifestyle, you will see success and happiness beyond your wildest dreams. You will open up a level of freedom and creativity that you never thought possible in a "job." But if instead you treat it like a simple job, it will be difficult and unfulfilling. You will find yourself repeating the same drudgery every single day. So embrace what it takes to be successful, to be a Preeminent Producer. If you can do that, you will have everything you've ever wanted. #ProducerSuccess #InsuranceSales #InsuranceSuccess #ProducerStrategies #ProducerSales #PreeminentProducer

Had a very successful Producer tell me once: "Your process and attitude towards 'selling' will attract people who are best suited for that style." That's why it's so important to just be yourself. We see Producers make this mistake all the time... Trying to "sell" in a way that isn't congruent with their personailty. If you're easy going and laid back, sell easy going and laid back... If you're super analytical and technical, sell analytical and technical... If you're super aggressive and straightforward, sell super aggressive and straightforward. You don't want to attract people who aren't a good fit for you. So just be yourself.

As a line producer, I handle everything from budgeting to scheduling, ensuring the production runs smoothly. It’s a role where I get to make important decisions, problem-solve on the fly, and work closely with talented people across the industry. But it also comes with its challenges—tight budgets, unexpected issues, and a lot of pressure to keep everything on track. What I’ve learned is that staying organized, planning for the unexpected, and maintaining clear communication is key. Most importantly, finding balance is essential to avoid burnout and keep the creative energy flowing. #LineProducer #ProductionLife #BehindTheScenes

What the heck is a producer, anyway? "Producer" is a term I've shied away from for a few different reasons. - The term is so fluffy and has one million meanings, varying between disciplines and companies. - Producers often get treated like gaaaarbage. (I know this varies from organization to organization, but I've definitely seen it!) - Producers often don't get paid as much or have as much of a leadership role as other roles I've had, like Product Manager, Strategic Partnerships/BD Manager (although many of the responsibilities are identical to what a producer would do!) Lately I've gotten a lot of feedback that I'm really more of a Exec Producer than x (role I've applied for). This isn't wrong, I've won awards for my production work. And "producer" is a fluffy term and I focus more on getting stuff done rather than any one job title. But being called a producer again is wild, because it means I need to re-adjust how I position myself as a professional and the opportunities I pursue. Have you noticed something similar happening to you? What advice do you have?

🎭 Stage Manager @ Spiegelworld | Lead / Inspire / Unite / Thrive | Follow for Conscious Leadership & Mindful Practices
"𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭." - 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 Truer words have never been spoken, especially for those of us in the high-stakes world of live entertainment as stage managers. Let's be real - the stage manager's role is not a glitzy one. We don't get to bask in the spotlight or take endless curtain calls. Our job is to quietly (and masterfully) pull the strings behind the scenes, empowering our teams to deliver an unforgettable performance. The true reward for a stage manager comes not from individual accolades, but from the collective success of the entire production. When we let go of ego and focus solely on supporting our directors, designers, technicians, and actors, the results can be nothing short of magical. I've seen it time and again - the show that overcomes every obstacle, seamlessly transitioning from scene to scene, thanks to a stage management team that operates with seamless efficiency and complete dedication to the end goal. No one caring who gets the credit, just pouring their heart and soul into bringing the vision to life. That's the kind of leadership that transforms good productions into great ones. The kind that earns the respect and loyalty of an entire creative team. The kind that keeps audiences coming back, show after show. So the next time you're tempted to seek the spotlight or make sure your contribution doesn't go unnoticed, remember Truman's wisdom. The true victory lies in what we can accomplish together, not what any one of us can claim for ourselves. #StageManagement #TheaterLeadership #CreativeCollaboration #EgolessTeamwork #UnseenHeroes #TheaterLife #LeadershipLessons #SelflessSucess

It is both humbling and challenging managing this project thus far. This is already shaping up to be a very successful casting call and I still have two months to finish the selection process. There's a lot of prep work being done so I'm working on getting that handled. This is gonna need some tough love and nurturing. I didn't think I could ever handle filling 17 positions, let alone managing 920+ auditions. If anyone ever needs a Casting Director or extra help on such things, apparently, I'm more than capable! Glad I know now! #castingcall #castingdirector #auditions #projectmanagement

PSA: For those looking to hire that may not instantly understand why a TV Producer has applied for your job, or why they may be a great fit for ANY team... It is our job to dive into an unknown world, and instantly become well-versed in what makes that world tick. We learn on the fly, and are experts at being professional about it. We tend to wear many hats, and that's not a bad thing! <I'd like to change it to jack of all trades, and (very quickly) mastering them all ;)> We oftentimes are both right and left-brained - advising on creative in one minute, then overseeing budgets or schedules the next. We can juggle a lot, like a lot a lot. (We often work in skeleton crews and have to pick up the slack as needed. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork) Our world hasn't exactly been happening this past year...and it's rough out there. So if you're looking for the most dedicated, loyal, go-getters... I challenge you to interview some TV Producers...Even if you don't immediately recognize the connection between the job posting and their resumes. #TVProducer #TVProduction #ProjectManager #ProgramManager #ProductManager #ITProjectManager #ConstructionProjectManager #MarketingProjectManager #EventManager #ScrumMaster #AgileProjectManager #OperationsManager #Recruiters

URGENT: Challenge Producer needed… (based anywhere) Shout out on behalf of a US based production partner of ours who needs an experienced challenge producer for 2-3 weeks in August (ie starting imminently). You’ll be coming up with ambitious challenges of scale for a primetime TV series probing business and leadership skills. Experience on these kinds of shows is an advantage but they don’t want cut-and-paste Apprentice ideas, so if you don’t have business show credits that’s also ok so long as you have a diverse set of *challenge producer* credits. You can work from home/anywhere, but the production is LA based so there will be some time shifting/evening calls required. You can ping me a CV (my email address in the comments) and I’ll forward it on if it’s appropriate. As this is not my production I won’t be personally replying so please don’t be upset if you don’t hear back. I’ve requested that anyone they do interview is given timely feedback if they don’t get the role. A hiring decision will likely be made by Friday 26 July. I don’t usually post other people’s roles, but I know a little bit about this project and it’s such an exciting format and a great opportunity for a UK challenge producer to enhance their US experience. Finally: to save you from wasting your time and my time I wanted to emphasise once more that this is a request for an *experienced challenge producer* with availability to start in the next couple of weeks. If you’re an AP, an edit producer, a story producer without tonnes of demonstrable task experience, an editor, or do other role that isn’t specifically the one they’re looking for: ***an experienced challenge producer***, please dont email as it won’t be acknowledged or forwarded. 🇺🇸
