Rethink Hiring: Are We Asking for Unicorns? Here's a wake-up call! The 2024 hiring trends are...interesting. - Project Manager needing Digital Marketing expertise? - Operations Manager (Corporate) with Education sector experience? - Strategy Manager requiring Financial Modeling skills? - Relationship Manager with specialization in Marketing? These are just a few examples of job descriptions asking for a single person to be a master of everything. Are job requirements really in sync with the realistic talent pool lately? Are current expectations feasible, or are they setting the stage for missed opportunities in hiring? Now here's the PROBLEM: - Unrealistic expectations discourage great candidates. - It wastes everyone's time: yours, recruiters', and the company's. - When you can't find this mythical unicorn, you settle for a less qualified candidate. The solution? Focus on what matters! Hire people who excel in their specific domain. You can always develop additional skills later. Dear Corporate, Let's please move towards smarter hiring practices that benefit both companies and candidates. I encourage us to share perspectives on how companies, from startups to large-scale operations, can recalibrate their hiring strategies to focus on the core skills and potential for growth. How can we ensure that we're not only attracting but also nurturing the right talent for the right roles? How can we better align our expectations with the market to foster a more inclusive, realistic, and productive hiring environment? #stoptheunicornhunt #hireforskills #recruitment #hiring #talentacquisition #jobsearch #careeropportunities #jobhunt

I *finally* hired a marketing leader. 🎉 I waited too long — I took “founder mode” way too far. Basically tried doing 5 jobs. 🤦♂️ This is not the intent of founder mode, but it’s a classic founder mistake. Yesterday Eric Linssen started. It’s a breath of fresh air to have him on the team. I consider myself a marketing-centric CEO and I’m beyond excited to have a partner in the story telling, audience building, and growth execution that I believe is increasingly important today. In the early 2020s SaaS marketers could get by with "spray and pray." Now buyers have raised the bar. As buyer rigor returns, great products with “good enough” sales & marketing will no longer thrive. Winning now requires GTM excellence. I believe ICP Marketing is the key. At Keyplay, we're on a mission to help our customers succeed with an ICP-first methodology. With Eric onboard we can turn up the volume on that mission. And he'll be building our own ICP Marketing playbook -- practicing what we preach. I'm pro founder mode. But I also know that we need a great team. Although I took too long on this hire, it feels good to see the pieces coming together. Welcome Eric! #marketing #sales #hiring p.s. We’re hiring for a (unique) ICP Analyst role now.

Automation Specialist at Playbook Automations | Empowering Businesses with Seamless AI and Automation Solutions
👀 controversial topic here Playbook.tech. Although AI can do a lot of heavy lifting and yes, automation can remove a task from an individual, in theory we can automate an entire position, but at this time the human element is so important, at least from a management level. We can build an AI CMO or Marketing Coordinator automation that handles XYZ, but there will be a need for some supervision. Updates happen and so do bugs, unfortunately. At bare minimum, someone needs to make sure the engine is still on, but we can get damn close. I can more comfortably say that AI can prevent the need to hire more staff but better support the staff you currently have. What are your thoughts? #ai #aiautomation #marketingautomation #controversial #aiemployment #marketing #aicmo #aistaff #automation

🚀 Is Hiring for Talent and Potential the Way Forward? 🚀 Lately, I've been thinking about the whole idea of the "perfect fit" in hiring. In finance, we're often on the lookout for candidates who tick all the boxes. But maybe, just maybe, we should shift our focus a bit. There's something to be said for hiring people with raw talent and genuine passion. They bring fresh perspectives and energy, sparking innovation and driving the team forward in unexpected ways. What if we started hiring for potential? These are the people who might not have every qualification yet but are eager to learn and grow. Investing in their development could mean big returns for the company down the line. When you build a team based on diverse talents and potential, you get adaptability and resilience. It’s exciting to see how different strengths come together to create something greater. Personally, I always try to share this perspective with my clients. It's not about finding someone who ticks every box but about recognizing and nurturing potential. Every time I see it in action, it reinforces my belief in this approach. Just some food for thought. Have you seen the impact of hiring for talent and potential in your organization? Would love to hear your experiences! #TalentAcquisition #HiringStrategy #CareerGrowth #TeamBuilding #Recruitment #FinanceIndustry #Luxembourg

Hiring managers massively over index industry experience in marketing hires. I contend it’s better to focus on marketers who can: 1. Recognize patterns 2. Be creative 3. Bring the right attitude to the team

Hiring, Hiring, Hiring!📢 I recently posted about #Hiring and was amazed when it received 6x the impressions I expected! It turns out, simply using the word "hiring" word caught attention . This experience reminded me power of words and how beneficial they can be in the right context. Whether you're looking to build your team or gain engagement, never underestimate the importance of clear hence effective communication. So, if you’re looking to grab attention fast—use power of these words! "Recruiting, Hiring, Job available, Team building, Talent acquisition" and same keywords as Hashtags like- "#recruiting, #hiring, #jobavailable,#teambuilding,#talentacquisition " Just I did in this post😆❤ But jokes apart, we're genuinely looking for talented individuals to join us as!👇 1. Social Media Manager. 2. Digital Marketing Expert. 3. Business Development Executive. #Recruitment #NowHiring #Opportunities #Growth #Hiring

Stop trying to make your marketing roles into something they are not! 🚫 Hiring budgets might be tight, but my recent job search experiences have shown startups trying to blend management-level Marketing roles with completely unrelated positions like COO, CFO, and more. The most shocking example I came across was a company attempting to merge the director of growth marketing with the CFO/Controller role. Let's allow marketing professionals to focus on marketing tasks without adding CFO responsibilities. Let's keep roles aligned and let marketers do what they do best! #Marketing #Hiring #JobSearch 🌟
