Leader dedicated to cultivating high-performing teams with a strong focus on the development of individuals to drive successful outcomes.
Comment below! 👇 What was one of your biggest achievements in your professional career? I’ll start…… When I first joined Konecranes, my team felt like it was us against the world. I was faced with a few statements that I was determined to prove wrong. 1. "You'll have pretty high turnover with this group; you'll be lucky to last a year as well." 2. "This area never gets over $X amount a year in revenue." 3. "This group never takes part in the annual Christmas dinner. Maybe 2-3 techs will show up, but that's it." After my first 2 years, we only had 1 person leave, and that was because they were moving to another state. In the first 3 years, we increased our revenue by 21-35% and never fell below the initial threshold that we were told we would never exceed. But the greatest accomplishment I believe I achieved was our first Christmas party after my first full year. Every single tech we had and their families showed up to our dinner, Over 25 individuals! Through servant leadership, deliberate actions to take care of my people, sticking my neck out for them when they might not have deserved it, and a strong will to see them succeed, I fostered an environment where they felt cared for and appreciated. To me, that's worth more than revenue. That’s my greatest achievement.

One year Service Leader! One of the toughest job challenges I've ever had but also one of the best! One year ago, I didn't know what was waiting for me with my first SCDP rotation. "Becoming a Service Leader wont be easy" people told me. Yes, they were right. Coming from marketing, creating creative campaigns, and working on long-term projects was a massive change to the firefighting and customer problem solving I manage today. But this was my choice! What I didn't know one year ago: 💡what a frequency inverter, suspension cable or light barrier was. Our lift components were like a foreign language, but I understand them better every day 💡how much unnecessary stress I caused myself in previous jobs: if a marketing campaign is released a week late, that is not perfect, yes - but it can't be compared to people who can't leave their flat because the lift is stuck. My awareness of the importance of our products has changed dramatically with this job, because we regularly get to know the stories behind the people 💡what it means to take responsibility for the safety of my technicians: to work safely, to report unsafe events proactively and to carry out regular safety visits 💡how diverse the challenge of leadership is. Developing a team and team culture and building trust, especially when you are leading a team of technicians without a technical background. It wasn't always easy, but it was great to see the progress and is definitely one of my highlights 💡that communication is key - and the only thing that customers really demand and need 💡that you unfortunately have little or no influence on some things, such as material delays or staff shortages due to illness. Accept and adapt! (Still learning 😉) And last but not least, what I also didn't know one year ago: 💡that a customer would bake a cake to say "Thank you for you and your technicians great work" ❤️ I'm not lying when I say that I really love this job. But it's also no lie that the journey was and is anything but easy (and this also should be said as I recently learned). But when I look back on my time so far in this role, I realized how much I have already learned, even if I don't know what to expect tomorrow or in the coming months. I know that I couldn't have done all of this without the people around me who have supported me so much along the way: my dear colleagues and sparring partners, especially my team with Carolin Wand and my mentor Patrick Hess. And despite all the inner struggles - I am also really grateful and proud to have had a year that has challenged me incredibly but also encouraged me. On to year 2 - I couldn't imagine a better region than Haushahn Aufzüge Ost, because people really make the difference! ❤️ #haushahn #serviceleader #Schindler #scdp

⭐ "The spirit of Southwest Airlines is exuberant; it's caring, it's dedicated, it's diligent, it's fun, it's rewarding, it's a joy." - Herb Kelleher. ⭐ When I started at Southwest Airlines nearly 6 years ago, this quote was flashed on the presentation of our "New Hire Onboarding". I remember feeling very optimistic - thinking this is just your typical "First Day" verbiage and did not think any of it 🤔. 6️⃣ years later, I have this exact quote on my desk because it holds true to every word, context, and meaning. When Herb Kelleher created this airline nearly 50 years ago – flying on a airplane was known for people who were considered “wealthy” and only for the wealthy. However, Herb wanted an airline that wasn't just for the wealthy. He wanted EVERYONE to feel the CARE, the DEDICATION, the JOY…: ✈️ For the common man visiting his family on the other side. ✈️ For the common woman to take that business trip to her client. ✈️ For the common school team traveling to their competition. ✈️ For the common couple traveling for a celebration. ✈️ For the common family traveling for a special moment, or a heartbreaking moment. ➡️ Every traveler is traveling for a different purpose, and we make sure everyone feels that same CARE, DEDICATION, JOY, in a fun environment that Herb mentioned in his quote – no matter who you are. But that can't happen without our People feeling the same way 🙏. ➡️ Our People are our biggest asset - and that feeling of feeling exuberant doesn’t just last on Day 1, it lasts a lifetime, and our Red-Carpet Welcome is just the beginning. Today we welcomed 80 new Cohearts to embark in that feeling to make our customer feel the same way 🎉. #recruiting #networking #motivation #aviation #jobseekers #careers #culture #opportunities #development #letsconnect #hr #jobs #newchapter #southwestairlines #SouthwestHeart

Today marks 2 years of my amazing Marriott journey and one thing I really liked since I began my purpose here is that I was welcomed by the team, supported by my colleagus and managers and last but not least, I had the opportunity to grow and develop or become the best version of myself by continuously learning new things and embracing different career pathways that provide me with expanding my horizons and reaching new limits. So today I feel grateful, for everything that I have learned and gained in these 2 years. #beginbelongbecome #continuouslylearning #marriottcareers #learningjourney

At Southwest Airlines , we do not just support our customers & candidates, but we also support each other 💪💪🏻💪🏾. 💙 Before I started at Southwest, I was always nervous to ask for help. There was a since of competition to get to the top, so one could earn that “Gold Star.” It is something I have always witnessed, and I always had this burn inside of me to hide away from asking for assistance, advise, or mentoring, to not interfere with anyone’s success. However, when I joined Southwest Airlines, that “sense of competition” was nowhere to be found, because the only thing People were working towards - was being an advocate for one another ✈️. ♥️ Yesterday I had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite recruiters who I have always looked up to, Talia Roffman; to be able to learn, grow, and expand my recruiting skills to learn more about our Pilot Hiring 👨🏿✈️, a group who I have always admired and hope to be able to offer support in the future. It is normal to want to stop and think about where you see yourself in a few years, and Southwest enables you to cut out time to shadow people within your team, or different work groups to enhance one skill set. It was a blast being able to learn from Talia and learn what I can do to enhance my skills while assisting in her interviews 😍. 💛 This is what having a long-term career is all about, being able to grow within yourself, while gaining lifelong friendships, regardless of title. Say hi to Paul Ramirez! In this month’s “Meet Metro Cruise”, we’re so excited to introduce you to someone who’s made a huge contribution to the success and culture of our Shore Services division over the past 8 years. Let’s ask Paul to share his story… Q: Tell us a little bit about your journey through the ranks at MSS. A: I started in 2015 as a Pier Supervisor and knew I wanted more. In September 2016, the Operations Manager position at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal opened and I applied, was interviewed, and offered the position which I happily accepted. I operated the cruise terminal for the next 5 ½ years and continued growing in my knowledge of the industry. In January 2022, I was promoted to Southern California Regional Operations Manager which I was very excited about as I would now oversee multiple ports – Long Beach (Carnival Cruise Line), San Pedro (Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises) and San Diego (Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Cruises). In 2023 I was also involved with overseeing the port of Seattle (Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Royal Caribbean). Q: Wow, your responsibilities have really expanded. What is the most important aspect of your job do you think? A: No matter the port, the priority is always ensuring the cruise guests have the best possible experience and a great interaction with Metro Shore staff. Followed, of course, by the operational management. Q: Tell us about a recent highlight or inspiring thing that happened on-the-job. A: It’s so rewarding to learn more about the business side of the operations. The budgeting process and financial side are an important aspect of the job. I really enjoy being involved with it and being able to share that with my team. Q: What stands out as the best benefit to working in the cruise industry or how does it fit into your personal life? A: The cruise industry is a great fit for me careerwise and personally. I genuinely love meeting new people, visiting different terminals/cities and learning how to build and improve processes for my teams and our cruise line customers. Q: What is the culture like among your various team members? A: Family. The culture just makes it easy to form a bond with everyone. It’s more than just being a co-worker. It truly is a family. Q: Do you have a favorite city/port/terminal, if so, what makes it so special? A: I would have to say San Diego. I love the beauty of the city and relaxing atmosphere. If I ever need a quick getaway, San Diego is always at the top of the list. Q: What would you want people who are considering a job at MSS to know? A: This is a very fun, fast-paced job. I love it because no two days are alike, and it keeps you on your toes. We’re sure your team appreciates all the fun and leadership you bring, Paul. Thanks for your time today!
