SUPERSTITIONS ABOUT ANIMALS Animal superstitions are often based on beliefs, traditions and perceptions of the natural world. These beliefs showcase the deep reverence and significance that animals hold. Some fascinating animal superstitions include; - Hyena In some African cultures, the hyena is seen as a symbol of bad luck and evil spirits. - Elephant Elephants are revered in many African cultures for their wisdom, longevity, strength, goodluck and connection to the spirit world. - Black cats Black cats are often associated with bad luck in many cultures. It's believed that if a black cat crosses your path, it can bring misfortune. - Owl Owls are sometimes seen as symbols of wisdom and foresight, but in some cultures, they are considered harbingers of bad luck or death. - Leopard Leopard is considered a symbol of strength, agility, and protection. It's often associated with royalty and is seen as a powerful and mystical creature. - Giraffe There's a belief that the giraffe symbolizes foresight and the ability to see the future. It's considered a positive omen in some cultures. - Zebra The zebra is often associated with balance and individuality due to its unique stripes. - Black crow Black crow is often associated with bad luck or even death. A SANCTUARY ELEPHANT TALKS ABOUT HER LIFE: I wanted to get a good view on elephant life in the sanctuary I respect so much HERD - Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development Here is what the matriarch shared: M: “We do what is in front of us; tending to the young ones is my specialty, as you know. Others, [the bulls] you could say, are more focused on herd politics but I step in sometimes and smoothe things over." Q: Can you tell me: has the elephants’ situation worldwide improved? M: “Yes, there have been some improvements: more rescues and sanctuaries have been opened, to provide us with safety, although most of us still prefer the wild. Not all of us have the aptitude for being with humans as we do here; plus, our humans here are quite extraordinary and treat us with the utmost respect and kindness. Q: “What can I tell humans about elephant ways? M: “Tell them we choose the path of kindness and working together as a group, and some of us get to show this to humans, along with our true gentleness and sense of humor. “We are intelligent but we are also wise: we can read human emotions in their faces and feel them in their energy fields. “Most of us are very compassionate by nature and we care very much if you are hurt physically or emotionally and we will try to help and set things right. I love it when different species can co-habit, share food and hang out in the same space 💞✨ For sure, there will have been some telepathic communication taking place here for these guys to share a meal together with no apparent conflict. It may come as no surprise to some then, that interspecies communication takes place all the time between non-human animals. The meer cat and the giant tortoise may be different in many ways, but they both share the ability to communicate telepathically. All thought forms, emotions and feelings hold an energy and energetically, these guys will be sending and receiving information between themselves all of the time. So you could say that they do share a common language, the language of the soul, or telepathy (which literally means a transfer of feelings across a distance).
