I lost 5 times in an arcade game.😔 My friend won the game with a single chance. She said, "You're doing it the wrong way." If you've been on LinkedIn for a long time but still not getting good results, you're doing it incorrectly too. 📌3 common mistakes on Linkedin: 1️⃣ Targeting the wrong audience If you post tips related to gardening, you'll receive queries related to gardening, not marketing. 🔸Lesson: Find out who EXACTLY is your TG and make content around the topic that attracts their attention. 2️⃣ Not enough engagement You don't take enough time to reply to comments and engage with others' posts. You don't make connections. 🔸Lesson: Creating isn't enough. Engaging with the network is also important. 3️⃣ Inconsistency You post and ghost on Linkedin. 🔸Lesson: Social media algorithms love consistency. Be regular! If you're making these mistakes, you may get slower growth. Are you making any of these mistakes? #linkedinforcreators #PersonalBranding #SocialMediaMarketing

I often struggle with staying active on social media which isn't inherently a bad thing. We know all too well the downsides of social media. Still, there are areas that I want to improve - specifically doing more on social for my business, Mithril Media. While I am passionate about the work I do, I struggle to be passionate about creating content for the work I do. The work is always more important and there is always more work to do, perpetuating a cycle of never creating content about the work. So, to solve for this I started creating content about something other than my work - my garden. I started gardening during COVID as a way to get outside and since then, it's become a genuine passion. It's also really easy for me to talk about my garden which makes it a lot easier to create content. The hope is that this will also get me more comfortable on both sides of the camera, leading me to be a more confident and entertaining storyteller, ultimately resulting in making more content for my business as well. I've set up a new Instagram page dedicated to the garden I love so dearly. I'll be sharing everything from starting seeds to taking care of the plants to cooking and storing the harvests we yield. Feel free to give it a follow if you are into that kind of thing! #garden #gardening #content #storytelling #foodstories

Communications consultant for organizations in science, nature, & the environment 🌻 Content strategy, marketing, blogs, websites 🌻 Let’s build a digital presence that will advance your mission and increase your impact!
Meet your audience where they are. That’s gotta be some of the best marketing advice I’ve received — and given. When I first learned about content marketing, it was all about the SEO-emails-social combo for everyone. But then I met a client who wanted SEO for a product that their audience would never be searching for online, and another client who wanted to see increased social media engagement for their mostly-senior-citizen audience. You just have to know where your actual audience is hanging out, whether it’s online or even in person, and go to them. I’ve got a friend with an awesome woodworking business who has the data to prove it: More social media follows don't translate to more high-end custom furniture sales. They’re just different audiences. Something on my to-do list for Botanical Belonging is to make actual physical fliers to put up around town. They’re a non-profit that puts on native plant education programming, both in terms of gardening and local ecology. It’s the kind of thing that people might not even know exists unless they come across it in the wild. Where do I think folks who might be interested in native plants hang out? I’d start with local libraries, hipster coffee shops, and craft breweries. Stereotype? Yes. Could be super effective? Also yes. Have you ever shifted your business-as-usual marketing strategy to meet an audience where they actually are? I’d love to hear about it. Especially if you put up fliers at the library 😉 #contentmarketing #contentstrategy #marketingstrategy #freelancemarketing

📱 Every year, Pinterest uses ‘pinners’ search terms to predict trends, and they have been right about 80% of the trends in the past four years! There are some interesting and quirky trends set for 2024, like undersea gardening and bow stacking. But it's not all whimsical, as staycations, pampering, customising credit cards, and coffee stations are also expected to be popular. While viral content can be great for reactive marketing, it's short-lived so it can be tricky to fully leverage. However, with Pinterest Predicts, marketeers have the chance to plan their 2024 campaigns well in advance. Stay ahead of your marketing strategy and download our complimentary Pinterest Guide. https://lnkd.in/eWE8rdCA #Marketing #DigitalMarketing #ContentMarketing #DigitalMarketing #MarketingStrategies #SocialMediaMarketing #Hertfordshire

Just like gardening, leadership requires consistent effort of tending your mentee and patience to repeat when everything else fails. Harvest and fruits are not for the mentor but for the mentee with the hope that one day, mentee will be a wonderful addition to the industry. This contribution is a heart felt service we can offer to the planet. In the office, we consistently talk about service and how capable we are to DO GOOD and DO WELL. Practice it everyday, and you're one step closer to saving the world 💕 #Mentorship #VMVhypoallergenics #SkinSciencesLaboratoryInc https://lnkd.in/gaYh2CrA
