Being a B Corp isn't a badge. OK, it is a badge, but it's not *just* a badge. It's a journey of improvement, and we're proud of how far we've come. You might have seen the circled 'B' on the back of a Tony's Chocolonely bar, the label of a Patagonia fleece or the Coutts website and wondered what it means. B Corp is a global movement of people committed to using their businesses as a force for good. It's about making choices that think about your entire social and environmental impact, holding yourself to high standards of performance, accountability and transparency. Nile became a certified B Corp in 2021. The B Corp framework has helped give us a clearer structure to balance purpose and profit as we help clients navigate complexity and drive positive change. It pushes us to be better and do better, for people and the planet. Over the past year, we've made exciting progress: 🙌 Embedding B Corp values into our strategy, policies and culture 🧭 Choosing to work with wonderful, purpose-led clients 💁♀️ Improving working life for our team and the people we work with 🌍 Considering our carbon footprint and engaging planet-friendly suppliers 👩🏫 Sharing our knowledge on themes like inclusion, accessibility and financial education with the world But the journey continues, because being a B Corp isn't a destination. It's a tool to continually hold ourselves to a higher standard for all our stakeholders and to create a better future. As B Corp Month comes to a close, we're proud to be part of a community that's doing just that. #BCorpMonth #BCorp #sustainability #governance

On this #EarthDay, we would like to introduce once again Suntory Beverage and Food (SBF)‘s commitment to society and nature. As a multifaceted beverage company whose products rely on the blessings of nature, SBF is committed to working with our stakeholders to protect and nurture the natural environment. We recognize the importance of coming together to create a society in which all life can flourish and where the origins of our resources are protected for years to come. To realize this vision, we have set seven themes: Water, Containers and Packaging, Climate Action, Raw Ingredients, Health, Human Rights, and Enriching Life. Being strongly aware of the interdependence between nature and people, we are implementing a range of activities, together with our stakeholders, to realize a world where nature and people live in harmony. The world faces a wide variety of environmental and social issues, such as water shortages and loss of biodiversity from the changing climate, pollution and increasing waste, poverty, and human rights violations. As companies are expected to implement proactive actions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are objectives shared by the whole world, SBF, which operates globally, will also continue to take on the challenge of realizing a sustainable society by tackling global issues more sincerely than ever before. March is B Corp month, giving us a chance to celebrate our commitment to balancing profit and purpose. We are proud to be amongst a community of businesses advocating for an economic system that builds up nature and society. What Are B Corporations B Corps are businesses who meet high environmental and social standards, verified by B Lab. The process includes a rigorous assessment across topics such as: Governance: How is our business structured? Workers: How are people treated? Environment: What is our impact on land, air, and water? Community: How involved are we in local communities and global supply chains? Customer Stewardship: How do we ensure a high quality customer experience? Why We Became Certified Every decision we have made has been guided by a value system based on empathy for the earth and its inhabitants. During a time when terms to describe “sustainability” lacked specificity, B Corp helped reinforce our strengths and bring clarity to our customers. It substantiated our focus on areas such as regenerative agriculture, supply chain transparency, living wages, animal welfare, and stringent chemical standards. While the journey to certification was rigorous, it is not the last stop. Being a B Corp means we are always looking for a better way forward. Being a part of this community has revealed opportunities to do even better for our industry and planet. The future is this way. Are you coming? #bcorpmonth

B Corp “gave us the structure and framework for continual improvement. B Corp’s five pillars – Governance, Customers, Workers, Environmental and Community – with a focus on accountability and transparency made sense of the vast subject of sustainability” says Rebecca Murphy who used the B Corp framework to develop a broader sustainability strategy for the business. There are ONLY just over 1000 B Corp organisations in Australia currently. My reaction😲 I spend my days speaking to clients and candidates for hours on end, one recurring theme is prevalent... 💡Clients - want to attract talent aligned with B Corp values - candidates who care deeply about social impact, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. Why? The list is extensive but to name a few; maintaining value-driven cultures, enhancing brand reputation, fresh perspectives, increased creativity, sustainable business practices (practice what you preach!), and consumer connection. 💡Candidates - are seeing more than just a job, they're searching for a company that aligns with their values and actively does all they can when it comes to, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and community impact. Why? With recent global events highlighting the need for responsible business practices - like climate action, social justice movements, and the push for greater transparency - people are more conscious than ever about who they work for. They’re seeking employers who are not only talking about making a difference but are actively doing it. Whether it's supporting sustainable initiatives, promoting diversity and inclusion, or prioritising ethical practices, candidates want to align their careers with their values. In light of this, it's great to see more recognised names gaining their certifications, well deserved congratulations to Think HQ, Slowear, Southpaw and The Sussan Group with their outstanding efforts of becoming more socially and environmentally conscious whilst running businesses as usual. Comment your favourite B Corps below⬇ ! Let everyone know the best places for products or services that support their values! My obvious favourite is Patagonia! But other special mentions go to, Who Gives A Crap - for your loo roll needs and bathroom aesthetics 4 Pines Brewing Company Pty Ltd and Stone & Wood Brewing Company - for your booze KMD Brands Limited - for your outdoor and lifestyle gear T2 Tea - for your teas (Quiet Mind sits superior btw) The Commons - for vibes during office days (see you in October👀) Interested in what it takes to gain the certification and do better for society and the environment now and in the future? -https://lnkd.in/gE-Cv9Hg

March is B-Corp Month! As GM of Danone DACH, and father of 2, I am proud to be part of a company that is committed not only to economic success but also to making a positive impact on society and the environment. #ThisWayForward is this year's motto to encourage all companies in the B Corp movement to inspire other companies and share our message: We aim to be one of the best companies in the world and FOR the world; and we walk the talk: In 2023, we were the first company among the top 10 food manufacturers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) to be fully B-Corp certified. 💡 Our Mission: Danone wants to inspire people of all ages with healthier food alternatives and on-trend brands. We strive to offer products that not only taste good but are also good for our health and our planet. As of today, 99 per cent of our products contain less than the 12.5g of sugar per 100 grams required by the WHO; and for children's products, we are even stricter at 10g per 100 grams. #oneplanetonehealth 👩💻Tomorrow, on International Womens Day, we celebrate diversity and equal opportunities. I am proud to share that we have already closed the #GenderPayGap in DACH and our number of women in management positions is almost 65%. 💪 🌿 Sustainability and Responsibility: At Danone, we firmly believe that companies have a responsibility beyond mere profit. We advocate for sustainable practices to protect our environment and promote social justice. Therefore, we use 100% rPET for the entire Volvic & Evian portfolio (recycled plastic, excluding lids and labels). 🤝 Community and Collaboration: The B Corp movement reminds us that we are not alone. Together with other companies and organizations, we can make a positive change. Let’s learn from each other, inspire each other, and work together for a better world. Kudos to our team in Austria, where Danone is the only non-domestic company that has been awarded as a Tafel Premium Partner due to our significant support during the last decades on the battle against Food Waste. 🙌 Let’s Act Together! Share your B Corp stories, ideas, and experiences. Let’s positively impact the world and drive sustainable change for our children & future generations. #thiswayforward #BCorpMonth #DanoneDACH #proudtobeadanoner

So proud to be working at Danone🌍✅👭 Did you know? B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. In order to achieve certification, a company must: 🌱Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards. 🌱Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction. 🌱Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
March is B Corp Month! At Danone, we're on a mission to inspire healthier and more sustainable eating habits, while upholding our commitment to operate sustainably and responsible . 🌍 We're thrilled to share that Danone’s businesses in the Baltics and Denmark became B Corp Certified last year, joining the already certified entities Sweden, Finland and Norway. The certification means that Danone Nordics & Baltics is one step closer to become a fully certified cluster, with the Aqua d’Or factory in Denmark the only remaining entity. This certification is a testament to our dedication to high social and environmental impact standards, as we strive to be a driving force for positive change. 💚 But here's the thing – our journey doesn't end here. Just because we reached the B Corp certification doesn't mean we're slowing down. The B Corp certification needs to be renewed every three years! We're committed to evolving alongside the world, adapting to new needs, and staying actively engaged in the community of B Corps that are propelling business forward. Join us on this incredible B Corp journey towards a better future. Together, we can create lasting impact and inspire positive change. 🚀 #BcorpMonth #Sustainability #PositiveImpact #DanoneJourney
