Thanks to everyone who made the early start for this roundtable discussion on ownership and leadership of digital employee experience. Key take aways for me: * Ownership is complicated, it isn't just comms. Comes with collaboration, communities, apps, workflows and more. Owning it means OWNING it all. * Collaboration and consensus is required amongst key stakeholders to reduce friction and crap technology. * Outreach to frontline employees needs a strong (and realistic) focus on "whats in it for them". Confusion kills initiatives. *Gather buy-in not requirements!

One of the biggest mistakes I see leaders make with their team is not valuing them appropriately. 🧠𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭? 1. It’s ____ position appreciation week. You get them some pens, maybe candy or pizza, and possibly a company tshirt. 2. The employees laugh and feel unappreciated. Roll their eyes and continue working while not feeling like you 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 care. 3. Leadership gets mad at seemingly ungrateful employees and doesn’t want to continue appreciation programs. 📣𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭? You can fix this by learning more about your team! Find out what they value, and what they don’t. Sort of like your spouses love language!
