The Hispanic affinity Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII, Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Alliance (HOLA), represented NNS at the 23rd Annual Latino Music Festival in Town Point Park in Norfolk, Va., on Saturday, July 20. 🎵 The community came together for live music performances, Latin cuisine, family activities, dance lessons, and much more. Volunteers from the HOLA ERG represented NNS by giving away prizes, playing trivia, and interfacing with current and former shipbuilders who stopped by the tent. NNS’ table was visited by Congresswoman Jen Kiggans for Virginia, who affirmed the importance of the NNS mission at both a national and local level. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ecNkZWem

HII is proud to have been selected for the Australian Government’s significant expansion of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Program to ramp up international partnership opportunities for Australian industry. On this day in 1990, USS George Washington (CVN 73) was christened at Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII. Ship's Sponsor First Lady Barbara Bush was present during the ceremony to christen the US Navy aircraft carrier. 🍾⚓ #CVN73 was redelivered to the Navy in 2023 after successful sea trials that tested the ship's systems following its refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) at NNS. The carrier is currently deployed as part of Southern Seas 2024. Thank you to our shipbuilders - past and present - who have played a role in #CVN73's history!

HII is proud to have built LHA 6 at our #IngallsShipbuilding division and to see it still serving our country. As the first ship in the America-class of amphibious assault ships, LHA 6 set the standard, followed by USS Tripoli (LHA 7), with Bougainville (LHA 8) and Fallujah (LHA 9) currently under construction at Ingalls. #USNavy #BuildIt #DeliveringTheAdvantage
