Beginning Nov. 1, 2023, employers are required to use the newest version of Form I-9. This form, provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Citizenship and Immigration Services, has been available since August, but the prior version was accepted through Oct. 31, 2023. Employers that continue to use the outdated Form I-9 after Nov. 1 will be subject to penalties. https://ow.ly/mUhV30szHHu Complying with Form I-9 requirements can be challenging, and failing to do so can result in costly fines and penalties. Check out our blog for more details, and let us know if you have any questions: hr@employco.com. #formi9 #hrupdates #employmentlaw #workplacecompliance #hrnews #legalcompliance #employertips #humanresources

I Help Business Owners Move to the UK & Tap into Global Talent for UK Expansion | Expert in Getting a Sponsor Licence
Civil Penalties For Illegal Working To Triple In 2024 I feel it's crucial to address the upcoming changes in immigration enforcement. From January 2024, fines for hiring illegal workers are set to triple. This is not just a policy update. – It's a wake-up call for businesses and landlords. But let's look deeper. What does this mean for the UK's approach to immigration and labour? Sure, it signals a robust stance against illegal working, but also raises questions about the support and guidance provided to employers. In my experience, most non-compliance issues stem from misunderstanding rather than malintent. The increase in fines should be paralleled by increased support for businesses to understand their responsibilities. This change is an opportunity for us all to reassess our practices, and ensure they align with both legal requirements and ethical standards. At AY&J Solicitors, we're committed to guiding you through these complexities. Book a sponsor licence audit to ensure your business aligns with all legal requirements. #ImmigrationLaw #UKBusiness #EthicalEmployment
