You know what really motivated me to start my Recruitment firm JML Search LLC ? Polo shirts! I’m not kidding! I get it, it’s not the typical response you might expect from a new business owner- but hear me out on this. For some reason I have always had a fondness for polo shirts, and for years, I dreamed of having my own recruitment firm's logo on one. This “quirky” desire I had for so many years not only pushed me to launch my Recruitment business five months ago, but it also taught me a really valuable lesson in productivity and focus. The very early days of starting JML Search LLC required serious time management skills. I had to juggle multiple tasks and learn new things that I had never been exposed to before and I quickly realized to succeed, I would need to educate myself and get better at the skill of productivity. So, I dug into the topic, reading a couple of bestselling books and watching a bunch of youtube video’s on the latest productivity hacks and there was one common thread that stood out to me: simplicity. Through my research I discovered that many of the most high-performing and effective individuals intentionally simplify things like their wardrobe, to reserve their mental energy and focus only on the decisions that get them closer to the achievement of their goals. Now, if choosing a different outfit daily sparks joy for you, it’s your unique way of expressing yourself and showing up in the best way possible every day, then I would recommend to not eliminate that decision-keep doing it! However for me, I've started simplifying my daily routine and making fewer decisions, by doing things like buying the same JML Search LLC polo shirt in five different colors.
