Racquel is a champ at sparking the creativity of program directors and volunteers, encouraging them to dream big. 🌻🏛️ Plus, she's no stranger to public service, having been an elected official for 12 years. When she's not wearing her community partnership hat, Racquel takes on multiple roles. 💪 She serves as a KLC teacher and travels widely, passionately sharing the message of KLC's fantastic work, which is all about fostering civic leadership for stronger, healthier, and more prosperous communities. Excited to reflect today on my 1st year anniversary with DCPS. It has been a great year of learning alongside amazing leaders and building new programming to facilitate collaboration, share innovations and develop joyful supportive professional learning communities. I’m so happy that many of the teacher leaders I developed stepped into school leadership as APs this year! I’ve seen there are so many dynamic school leaders in DCPS who demonstrate a true commitment to giving all kids the best we know education has to offer. I’ve gotten to work on a wonderful team that believes in building leadership from within our classrooms and schools and am getting to know many folks well who support our district schools. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to make a greater impact for DC children and families.
