Earlier this year, the fine folks at Proof of Peach 🍑 (namely Ashley Neale) approached us re: their data needs. They wanted an easy way for the management team to answer data related questions without constantly bothering their engineers and pulling them off the product. After all, what good are data insights when you have no bandwidth left to write code? It won't take too long until we have most product teams having to write prompts that describe how to use/interact with their app’s functions. Simple example: ``` "is_favourite": { "type": "boolean", "description": "If true, the search will only include favorited items.", } ``` And that’s because these prompts will essentially enable third-party or internal LLM systems – in the form of helpers – that can guide or execute actions on behalf of users. These helpers won’t be part of power users’ workflows, but they will have a massive impact on accessibility and discoverability for new and less savvy users. Exciting times ahead!
