Some say we talk too much and do too little in the #sustainability world. I don't disagree. We need more action - urgently. But we also need to learn from each other, whether it's about embedding sustainability from the board room to the frontline, or listening to consumers to hear what they want from a company. There is a lot we can learn from experts like Sir David King and peer companies like Beam Suntory North America President Jessica Spence. It's pointless for Mars to be making progress on climate if others aren't. We need to actively listen, learn, and implement.

I am proud to be featured in the TIME 100 Most Influential Climate Leaders in Business for 2023 list as CEO of We Mean Business Coalition.
❓ During my Q&A, I considered, ‘Where should climate activism go in the next year?’
We’ve seen inspiring commitments from businesses and policymakers that have boosted global ambition to address climate change. Now it’s time to turn targets into action. By phasing in clean solutions and phasing out fossil fuels on a science-based timeline, companies can help deliver on global emissions reductions to address climate change and boost governments’ confidence to set the policies needed to protect people and economies.
The businesses joining the #FossilToClean movement are the visionary leaders that know the clean energy transition is underway and full of opportunity. I hope thousands more will join them in the year ahead.
👏 It is an honor to be in the list alongside Ignacio Galan of Iberdrola, Jesper Brodin of IKEA, Fatih Birol of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Peter Bakker of WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Paul Dickinson of CDP, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber of COP28 UAE, Kara Hartnett Hurst ofAmazon, Rebecca Marmot of Unilever, and @Lisa Jackson of Apple.

The 126 companies that are part of the WEF Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, have achieved a 10% CO2 emissions reduction between 2019 and 2021 as part of efforts to decarbonize their value chains in line with Paris agreement goals. I'm honoured to co-chair this Alliance together with Ester Baiget (CEO Novozymes), Jesper Brodin (CEO Ingka Group, IKEA) and founding co-chair Feike Sybesma. Here you can watch Ester, Jesper and I discuss the progress made and our four policy asks ahead of #COP28.

While the temptation is to say you can impact all SDGs, it is now more important than ever to focus on the ones that you can truly impact and report on your actions and progress. Concentration of effort will get us there.

There are so many ways that we, the people, can help improve our oceans, our air, our environment. We don't need one way. We need *every* way!
It's not about ocean clean up, or #ghg emissions, or #carbonsequestering It's about ocean clean up, up-river pollution management, habitat protection, ghg emissions, getting off fossil fuels, alternative energy sources, new engine designs, education of our citizens, especially our children, individual appropriation of the global citizenship values, and personal responsibility for our individual, organizational & societal actions, every single day, for every one of us.
Organizations & their leadership are the main drivers in this change. We need to move away from greenwashing, and celebrate and promote honest actors, organizations committed to the sustainably transition. There are amazing #leaders out there, deeply committed not only to their long-term organizational success, but, and because of it, to making this transition happen, fast. There's more than just a nice green badge at the end. There's a viable, financially prosperous, future for business, with massive economic gains especially for those #innovators and #earlyadopters.
#Leadership today, like always, it's a call for the valiant, for those that dare greatly, for those that lead from the heart, for those that, because of their choices today, will ensure not only the 1,000 year business viability of their global organization, but with it, the opportunity and privilege of being the ones that will launch #humanity into our next era, an era of unlimited, unbound futures, on and off our home planet.
We're not saving the ocean or the planet. Both will endure without us, and probably will be better off without our interfering. We're fighting to save ourselves, us, humanity, and prevent our self-annihilation. Every solution matters. Because, behind those, there are amazing people trying to make change happen.
I'm celebrating those changes makers, innovators, thought leaders, business leaders, startup founders, those that dare dream the big dreams of a humanity worth saving. ✌️

Absolutely, the video underscores a crucial point. Compliance is just the beginning; the real transformation comes from addressing Scope 3 emissions—the major portion of our environmental impact. Transitioning from regulatory adherence to true sustainability is key.
At LytHouse, we believe in cultivating a sustainability-first culture within organizations. It's not just about "checking the box"; it's about embodying a wholehearted commitment and turning it into action, surpassing environmental goals. 🌱
In this journey, organizations often hover around the periphery, reporting on Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while 70% of their impact remains hidden in the indirect, Scope 3 landscape. Accurate assessments are crucial; miscalculations risk not only greenwashing but also hinder genuine progress.
🌿Want to unveil the hidden layers of sustainability? The real story lies beyond compliance. Explore lythouse.com where the wholehearted sustainability commitment meets accurate reporting.

#Mission2025 launched this week at London Climate Action Week.
It's a high-ambition coalition of leading businesses, mayors, investors, cultural leaders, health leaders, scientists, youth activists and civil society for 1.5°C-aligned outcomes at #COP30.
This collective effort is supported by major leaders including Unilever, Ikea and spearheaded by The B Team, C40, the Climate Champions, Climate Group, the Energy Transitions Commission, Exponential Roadmap Initiative, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, We Are Family Foundation, We Mean Business Coalition (and many others), whose leaders have signed a statement inviting Governments to go further and faster, together.
Mission 2025 ultimately imagines 2025 as the year of the global tipping point: in which emissions peak and our collective mindset shifts from ‘we can’t’ to ‘we can, and we are’.
This is an invitation to collaborate with Governments to ratchet ambition and accelerate implementation.
To reach #NetZero, we have to work together. And we need to accelerate our progress.
