West Kowloon Cultural District Authority’s Post

[ Hong Kong Palace Museum recognised in the HKIS Awards 2024 ]   We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) has been honoured with the Grand Award for the Construction (Building) category at the The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Awards 2024. The awards this year pay tribute to the surveyors for substantial contributions in creating a sustainable future, and this award is a testament to HKPM’s commitment to excellence and the dedication of our surveying consultant RLB Rider Levett Bucknall Ltd. (RLB) in bringing the HKPM to life.   The HKPM is built upon a simple principle: to draw on the strengths of Hong Kong to support the Palace Museum’s aim of telling the stories of the Forbidden City. This award is a recognition of our teams’ exceptional coordination and partnership that enabled us to stay on track and deliver this unique building despite the unprecedented challenges, showcasing the pinnacle of design, technology, and construction management.    This year's HKIS Awards highlight the immense contributions of surveyors in creating a sustainable future. The accolades recognise the outstanding achievements of our development projects that prioritise sustainability and contribute to a greener and more eco-friendly environment.   Congratulations to the entire team involved in bringing the HKPM to fruition, laying the solid foundations for its continued development as a centre for East-meets-West cultural exchange.    #WestKowloonCulturalDistrict #HongKongPalaceMuseum #Surveying #HKISAwards2024
