Two weeks ago, we had an extraordinary experience at the 12th Wharton Latin American Conference (WHALAC) 🌟 🚀, bringing together visionaries, industry experts, and change-makers dedicated to shaping the future of Latin America. It was a privilege to host esteemed keynote speakers like Duane Hughes, Chair of the Advisory Council at UBS, Luis Almagro, Secretary General at Organización de los Estados Americanos, Paulo Passoni, Managing Partner at Valor Capital Group, and Caroline Merin, former COO of Rappi, who was interviewed by Patrick McGinnis, VC investor, for his podcast FOMO Sapiens. 🌐 Throughout the conference, we delved into pivotal topics including Investment and Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Sustainability and Inclusion, focusing on Latin America. Our panels were enriched by the experiences of extraordinary business and non-profit leaders: Gabriel Vasquez (Andreessen Horowitz), Ana Aristizabal (Winnipeg Ventures), Nicolas Avila (Globant), Eduardo Moore (Grupo Arcor), Goldie Shturman, MBA (DFC), Manuel J Godoy (Félix Pago), Andrés Oliveros González (Astrolab), Carlos Alonso-Torras (Fintech Collective), Mauricio Cordero (Bankaya), Daniel Block (Mercy Corps Ventures), Ady Beitler (Nilus), Diego Ontaneda Benavides (LALA), Eduardo Carrasquilla (Quipu), Ignacio Vollmer (Mercantil Holding Financiero), Mauro Leos (Moody's), Carolina Huaranca Mendoza (First Close Partners), Carmen Rive (Vanguard), Harry Tapia (HACE), Ricardo Hurtado (Hispanic Media LLC), Silvia Lucci (LUHV), and Bruce Datil (Allstate). 🚀 Special thanks to our moderators, including UPenn and Wharton Professors David Musto, Leandro S. Pongeluppe, Angel Alvarado, Mili Lozada, and Amalia Daché, PhD, and LAVCA's Emanuel Hernandez, for guiding with their insights these critical conversations. 🙏 We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors whose unwavering support made this event possible.
