This is the fourth year that I’ve been featured in the Spear's Magazine list of recommended tax advisors.🤯 https://lnkd.in/efghsWxK Every time this happens I am slightly lost for words. That’s really rare for me. I spend a day grappling with the imposter syndrome before I can ever share it. The “aha but there was that day I didn’t do this bit of work well” thoughts all appear and need a bit of a talking to. I think partly it’s a legacy of my upbringing on the farm. The voice that echoes in my head says “Don’t get too big for your boots! Nobody likes a smuggy pants” It’s important to remember in these days that all of us are light and shade. Some days we’re absolutely on it and could rule the world if we happened to be in the right place at the right time. Other days our pyjamas are on inside out. That’s just how it is. So I’m going to embrace this one as best I can. This isn’t really my award. It’s a testament to the hard work and professionalism of the whole Saffery #inverness crew, who - let’s be honest!- do most of the work we provide for our clients, and do so with the utmost professionalism and good grace, even when really hard against deadlines. It’s due to the support of my fellow partners - particularly Coll Eunice Shirley and Hilary in the office - but also to the wider Saffery network of experts who are all so generous with their time. Alex Simmons in particular who is my constant “phone a friend”🤣 And a thanks to the anonymous voters- I have no idea who you are but it’s very much appreciated. On the journey to quitting my Office Manager career, I've written up over 80 procedural documents to aid the company I work for, and any future office managers they may have. (It's a tax business, and the IRS isn't forgiving, so precision is key!) This is the second time I've done this for a company.
