We are beyond grateful to share that the Ninth Annual Cars 108 Roof Sit raised just over $91,000-and the support is still coming in! In a year that's been tough for so many, we are truly overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness shown by our community. We are so thankful for each and every one of you who helped make a difference in our kids' lives.
We also want to thank our staff, our Cars 108 and Townsquare Media Flint family, and the McDonald's team for their support and dedication.
Thank you again!
We could not be more honored to support this badass organization. this approach to investing in an organization -- call it trust-based, if you like -- is simply acknowledging that the experts know best. It's best to get out of the way so they can keeping getting shi*t done, as they say at TR.
344 days into our 5-year partnership with Ford Motor Company and Ford Philanthropy, and it keeps getting better. Today, Ford is filming at TRHQ in Los Angeles to highlight our equitable impact on disaster-affected communities nationwide. Since their first investment in 2017, Ford's commitment has grown into a robust $5.8M relationship, providing us with unrestricted, trust-based donations and a fleet of tough vehicles. This partnership exemplifies trust-based philanthropy and long-term support, empowering us to say "yes" when communities call. Stay tuned for the national media spot showcasing our journey together!
Over the weekend, I was able to celebrate the work of the Indiana University Dance Marathon in 2023 ahead of Indiana’s clash against Penn State at Simon Skojdt Assembly Hall.
While I have been transitioning out of my post as the Director of Corporate Relations over the past few months, I wanted to reflect on some of the lessons I learned from my tenure.
1. Relationships Matter - Establishing and nurturing robust connections is essential for effective leadership, especially when working collaboratively with a diverse set of individuals. In my role, this involved 22 other student leaders on the executive council, 7 chairpersons and 60+ committee members on my committee, and a portfolio of numerous businesses from across the nation. Fostering positive relationships with each of these groups is crucial, as it plays a vital role in achieving our common goal of contributing to lifesaving efforts for kids in need at Riley Hospital for Children. The utilization of authentic connections served as a pivotal factor in attaining shared objectives between stakeholders.
2. Be Decisive - Being decisive entails not only making informed and timely choices but also acting proactively based on data. Striking a balance between gathering sufficient information and avoiding prolonged decision-making processes is essential for progress. A decisive leader showcases confidence and clarity in their choices, fostering momentum and direction for the team. This approach not only instills a sense of purpose but also encourages proactive decision-making among team members.
3. Keep The Faith - Maintaining a positive and optimistic mindset, especially during challenging times, is crucial for leadership. Believing in the mission and vision of your organization can inspire others and help overcome obstacles. Acknowledging the highest of highs and the lowest of lows over the course of my tenure on the executive council added depth to this perspective. It was a year filled with both triumphs and tribulations.
The journey, however, became meaningful through the unwavering support of my colleagues. Standing by each other during tough times and celebrating victories together forged a strong sense of camaraderie. While the frustrations of unproductive efforts were present, this collective perseverance made every endeavor worthwhile. In the end, the elation of celebrating the accomplishment of raising over $3 million for lifesaving healthcare with my best friends eclipsed everything, making the entire experience incredibly fulfilling.
My time in IUDM was truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. It made me a better marketer, better leader, and most importantly, a better man.
I will always look fondly at my time in the organization and I am incredibly grateful to FORVIS, Allied Solutions LLC, Solution Tree, Graduate Hotels, Mom Water, HospitalRecruiting, Papa Johns, and countless other partners for their generous support over the years.
Go Hoosiers and FTK!
Before the tip-off at today's Indiana University Bloomington men’s basketball game, I had the honor of participating in the Indiana University Dance Marathon check presentation to Riley Children's Health. Together, we celebrated the incredible achievement of our IUDM students, who raised just over $3 million for the kids at Riley during last year's event while also reflecting on the remarkable 30+ year journey of IUDM, contributing over $50 million to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

I had a wonderful night with Chris McDermott and everyone else who was invited to the Little Heroes Gala 'A Night of Pop' event.
Over the last 27 years, this foundation has raised close to $40,000,000 for sick children and their families by providing new equipment and facilities to Adelaide's Women's and Children's Hospital.

In 18 years of competing in the 'Hood Bowl' fantasy football league, I've learned that success isn't measured by personal achievements but by the impact we make. Transforming winnings into donations for causes and communities reinforces the true essence of leadership: service.

What a year - both for the business and for me!
As a business we've:
- Worked with some fantastic clients, and through them have worked with some worldwide brands
- Achieved six figure turnover (turnover is vanity, profit is sanity... But it's nice to celebrate the milestones!)
- Grown to a team of four
- Grown our contracted, recurring income, by 74% in the past three months
- Moved into offices in central Cheltenham
- Rebranded and launched our new website with a stronger focus on the core of our service offering
- Connected with some fantastic local businesses
- Trained over 100 people in the world of Microsoft Excel (have to say, I thoroughly enjoy delivering these sessions)
On a personal level I've:
- Learnt to celebrate and enjoy the little things (Rule #32 in Zombieland)
- Improved my management of work / life balance - mostly towards the end of the year admittedly
- Stepped out of my comfort zone on multiple occasions
- Spent more time with the family than I have in previous years over the summer holidays
- Been there for every school production and event
- Seen many baby-firsts, such as our son's first smile, crawl and laugh due to working flexibly
It really has been an incredible year. We're placing a strong focus on growing our relationships in the local area over the next year, so you will likely see our name (and, sorry, my face) popping up a lot more frequently than it has been.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey so far. It means a lot.

We're one year old today!
It's hard to believe that a year has passed since our doors opened. While not always easy, the reality is that it has been such an enjoyable year, working with various clients and achieving great outcomes throughout.
We'd like to thank Optimising IT | B Corp™, Hazlewoods, Ballards LLP, Rise HR and all of our other clients who have worked alongside us over the past year. We can't wait to see what the next year has in store.
To celebrate being one year old, we're dedicating 1% of all future turnover to charitable causes, giving our team a say on where that money goes. This means that if we see Just Giving pages (or similar!) for what our team members believe to be great causes, they can sponsor on our behalf with no questions asked.
Onwards and upwards, and thank you once again to everyone who has been part of our successes this past year.

🌟 Unleashing the Power of Fashion for a Better World! 🌟
Fashion has always been more than just clothes and trends. It has the incredible potential to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on society. When designers and brands align themselves with causes that resonate with their audiences, they create a powerful platform for social transformation. By channeling their passion and resources towards meaningful initiatives, they can inspire others and pave the way for a more compassionate and inclusive world.
Now more than ever, we need the fashion industry to step up and address pressing social issues. By focusing on causes that align with their values, they not only contribute to the betterment of society but also create a positive brand image and build a loyal and engaged community.
It's time for fashion to become a catalyst for change.

Thank you again to Jeanine Ballone and Page Magazine for the opportunity to talk about my non-profit, The Tiny Tim Rescue Fund, and how fashion designers and brands are aligning themselves in an organic way to the causes that resonate with their audiences. I welcome collaborators to work with me to raise awareness and funds around the growing homeless population of abandoned shelter dogs, a number that has almost doubled in the last year, sadly.

Just a few pictures from this amazing day! We ran out of kids engineer hats and train whistles! The kids love Tim's Train Rides! We love seeing families make fun memories together! The books were again another big win with the kids! Thank you to all who donate to our Impact Clay Train!
I'm a great admirer of the leadership of Neha Sampat as she has dramatically grown Contentstack with a 97% employee offer acceptance rate. I came across this quote from our joint event last year, emphasizing trust at the heart of building great companies and how charitable giving initiatives build trust. "Growth comes down to a foundation of trust and innovation. It all comes back to building an organization where people want to do their best work, they want to stick around, and they care about each other, which helps elevate everyone’s talent.". We explored this further in a free case study here. https://lnkd.in/eqnMCnc5
