You say, “Our infection rates have increased by 15% in the last quarter, but studies show that strict adherence to this new protocol can reduce those rates by up to 40%. If we can all commit to this change, we’ll see a significant improvement in patient safety.” By presenting compelling evidence and appealing to their desire to improve patient care, you gain their support and cooperation. Use Case 2: Persuading Departments to Share Resources for a Community Health Fair In another scenario, you’re organizing a community health fair and need various departments to contribute resources, such as personnel, equipment, and time. Instead of simply requesting these resources, you appeal to their sense of community impact: “This health fair is a unique opportunity for us to showcase our hospital’s commitment to community health. By participating, we not only provide valuable services but also strengthen our relationship with the community, which can lead to increased patient trust and loyalty. In my opinion, the number 1 way to avoid family drama is to have a clear plan around death in advance. One way to avoid a tragic situation from spiraling even further is by having instructions around end of life care written down. Why put your family through the burden of having to make a tough decision (that everyone might not agree on), during such a difficult time. Please, set up an advance directive, a simple health care proxy is not enough. While you're at it, set up a MOLST (Medical Orders For Life-Sustaining Treatment). This isn't something I do personally, but I can most definitely steer you in the right direction. I've included a link below to health care planning terms and tips.

Reminding Patients that Taking Care of them is a Privilege 🙏 Things providers can say during a patient visit to convey that they view taking care of the patient as a privilege 🤲: 1. "Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healthcare journey. Your trust means a lot to me." 2. "I appreciate your confidence in my ability to care for you. It's an honor to work with you." 3. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you manage your health. Your well-being is my priority." 4. "It's a privilege to work with you on your health goals. Your active participation makes a big difference." 5. "I value the opportunity to assist you with your healthcare needs. Your trust and openness are greatly appreciated." 6. "I appreciate the opportunity to help you with your health concerns. Your well-being is very important to me." 7. "Your feelings and experiences are important to me. Let's work together to address them."
