Not familiar with the CNS role? The CNS is under the APRN umbrella and is the ‘swiss army knife’ of that group. As a CNS in Ohio, I have prescriptive authority, can diagnose and treat like an NP, but also have the ability to focus some or all of my practice in QI, systems building, research, teaching, etc. A way to serve patients and communities through all aspects of practice #CNS
Do you know about the Clinical Nurse Specialist role? We do! We are the Next Generation of Clinical Nurse Specialists and are looking forward to using this platform to spread awareness of the amazing, unique role of the CNS. National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS)

“One of the most important things for a physician to understand is who the customers of their practices are. Essentially EVERYONE you interact with is a customer. First and foremost is the patient, but customers also include the nursing staff and ancillary staff, medical staff, and C-suite. If you focus on treating your customers well, then you are approachable as clinicians. When physicians are approachable to patients and staff, then you provide better care to your patients” - Jude Reed, MD, FACEP, SVP, Group Medical Officer Discover more important lessons you’re likely to learn during your first year post-residency. https://bit.ly/3NS7Kmj #TogetherWeHeal #healthcare #clinician #physician #nursepractitioner #physicianassistant #physiciansupport #businessofcare #patientcare #attending
