Sip, snap, repeat— beverage programs evolve 🍹 When you think about a successful experience, it's oftentimes not just about the main attraction but the ancillary offering as well. A robust beverage (read: alcohol) portfolio can help your guest scores and your bottom line. I was recently quoted in Attractions Magazine's article about how immersive food and beverage offerings are becoming a cornerstone of guest satisfaction and park revenue. Key Takeaways: 1️⃣ Evolving Guest Expectations: Millennials and their Gen Alpha kids want more than thrills; they’re seeking memorable, shareable experiences at every turn—including dining. 2️⃣ Themed F&B as Storytelling: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Butterbeer creates a connection to the story in every sip (the ice cream I had last night wasn't bad either!). Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge immerses guests in its universe with creative offerings like Oga’s Cantina, where a reservation is necessary just to stand at the bar! These experiences enhance the park narrative and keep guests engaged long after the last ride. 3️⃣ Driving Engagement and Revenue: When done well, immersive food and beverage offerings don’t just enhance the experience—they also open up new opportunities to boost revenue. I believe this trend highlights how the right commercial strategies can create unforgettable guest experiences while driving profitability. What are your thoughts? Have you experienced an unforgettable F&B moment? From THR: Netflix says that it will open its latest experiential project on the casino floor at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in Las Vegas on Feb. 20: a new outpost of its Netflix Bites full-service restaurant. Netflix first tested out the #food concept in Los Angeles in 2023, but while that experience lasted about six weeks and was focused mostly on dinner service, the new Netflix Bites is being described as a “residency,” a longer-term project than the L.A. popup. In addition to dishes inspired by Netflix food show staples like Chef’s Table and Dinner Time Live With David Chang, the Las Vegas Netflix Bites will feature more immersive cuisine inspired by Netflix shows like Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Squid Game, One Piece, Love Is Blind, Nailed It! and The Floor Is Lava. Netflix also says that Mastercard holders will get priority seating and reservations, access to special experiences at the restaurant, and a pair of special cocktails offerings. Mastercard is Netflix’s official experiences partner The new edition of Netflix Bites continues the #streaming giant’s push into live experiences. The company has hosted live experiential offerings based on shows like Stranger Things, Bridgerton and Squid Game in cities around the world. Those experiments will culminate this year when it opens Netflix House locations in Pennsylvania and Texas, with food, retail and experiential offerings. Still, an extended stay at one of Las Vegas’ busiest casinos is yet another move by the company to build a foothold in the real world. As it happens, another major #entertainment company is set to open an experiential business in Las Vegas this year: NBCUniversal will open a year-round version of its Halloween Horror Nights in the city, with haunted houses based on films like The Exorcist: Believer and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. #marketing
