Both in terms of audience and revenue, the Esports business has experienced phenomenal expansion over time. The growing audience has largely led to revenue growth and not simply because those viewers generate income. Although the term Esports Winter still affects this industry, there are many well-known brands (e.g. Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, Savvy Games Group, Kia Europe, etc) that are investing in Esports marketing, both directly and indirectly, since they see the opportunity to reach a big and engaged audience. Esports has also experienced growth in several other aspects such as Collegiate Esports! As we look ahead to the future of Esports education, it’s clear that the trajectory of these programs (e.g. NEXUS Collegiate) will be shaped by both internal and external factors. On one hand, the continued growth of Esports courses within education and the maturation of the Esports industry is likely to fuel demand for specialized education and training opportunities. After all, there’s no sign of the education sector slowing down anytime soon. As Esports becomes increasingly integrated into mainstream culture, the stigma surrounding gaming-related degrees may diminish, leading to greater acceptance and recognition within academic and professional circles. Together with our partners, Phoenix Blue, Esport United, Jönköpings kommun.
