It does no harm to remind people who I am and what I do every now again. And there are 2 reasons for doing this today. 1) I recently had a phone call from a Recruiter as part of my Talent Acquisition work I do. In the 2 minute phone call he said "Bang on the money" 3 times. WTF? I don't even know what that means and I don't even know how that is connected to recruitment and asking if they could assist me when I politely said thanks but no thanks. 🔨 💰 2) I've never really looked at other recruiters websites but I have to confess I did this week. And wow! "We do this" and "we do that" blah blah blah. We? I know for a fact that this recruiter is an Independent Recruiter just like myself. There is no "We" and it is certainly not "Just me" it is "ME". I am incredibly proud of that. 🤗 So I got to thinking about the world of Recruitment. Is there a wonder that some Recruiters can tarnish the industry? (In fairness, there are some of those types of people in every industry!) So I won't be focusing on the "Bang on the money" approach or the "We" when they're portraying something completely different to customers and clients to what and who they actually are. I will simply focus on me and what I do. Because I am proud of me and my business, Winhurst Recruitment. Happy Friday! #recruitment #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner

"We have used countless recruitment teams but they stopped sending us resumes and would not get back to us! We have not had any success what-so-ever!" Dedicated recruiters go above and beyond to assist their clients, especially when there's money on the table! 💲 💲 However, various factors could contribute to this scenario. Let's explore some of the reasons behind it... Here are some reasons 👀: ✖️ Lengthy interview process (4-7 interviews taking months) - Time kills all deals! ✖️ Demanded Low fees (10%-20%) - A red flag from the start. ✖️ Lowballing candidates - Money talks! ✖️ Requesting 3+ references without any offer in sight - A bit premature, isn't it? And the list goes on... To all new recruiters out there, when a company seeks your assistance, don't forget to interview them too! 🌟 Avoid running circles with a bad client, or worse, working for free. Here's How I Beat My Competition Last Week And Landed the Meeting 🤯 Last week, I met with a client who had been flooded with messages from desperate recruiters after posting a hiring notice on LinkedIn. So, how did I stand out from the crowd and land the meeting? 🤔 1️⃣ I Didn't Frantically Spam Them: I didn't start desperately emailing or calling to claim I had the "perfect candidates" because: a) I didn't have anyone lined up yet. b) How could I? I hadn't even met them 2️⃣ Genuine Interest: I genuinely wanted to work with them because they seemed like a great company. I'd previously messaged them when they had no vacancies and I knew I'd be proud to promote their business to potential candidates. 3️⃣ Relationship First: I didn't immediately ask if I could fill their vacancy. I asked to get to know them. In today's ultra-competitive recruitment market, it's so tempting to just chase the quick wins. But don't throw your integrity out the window Stick to your values. Build real relationships. Success will come. 👊 That's what Ellis James Partners stands for. #Recruitment #IntegrityMatters #ClientRelationships #SuccessStories #EllisJamesPartners

Start your day off right by creating a day plan, how do you plan your day? Today we’re writing about common #myths and #misconceptions about recruiters out there. When recruiters actively reach out to you regarding a job opportunity, we sometimes don’t know whether to keep sourcing for more people (after reaching out to 20+ people), or whether to sit there and wait for your response. More often than not, I continue to source and message more people because I don’t want to sit there hoping you’ll get back to me. The reality is, I want you to get back to me ASAP 😃 So, for the candidates out there, even a thumbs up or down would be so helpful for me to understand whether you appreciate recruiters pitching to you about an opportunity, and whether this works for you! #dayplan #diary #recruitment #plan #transformation #recruitmentplan

I give employers a lot of S£&T on here. 📣 It’s justified and it’s through experience. But something that doesn’t get spoken about much is when a candidate takes the P&£S. 👀 There is zero point going through a process if; -You have no intention of leaving. -Want to get interview practice. -Intend to use any offer to bend your current employer over. -Play two potential employers off against each other. You could be stopping someone from finding their next role. Yes, looking for a job is super hard & recruiters are the worst. BUT hiring talent is tough for employers as well. Let’s all just be better. Don’t be a D£&K today. 👊🏼

Recruiters shouldn’t submit candidates who don’t fit the job. We don’t want to waste the client’s time or yours. If there’s no shot you’ll get the offer, we won’t submit you. On the other hand, if we think you’re a great fit, we’ll push hard to get you in front of the client. → We fight for candidates we believe in. So, if your recruiter isn’t submitting you, it’s a good thing. It means they’re being real about your fit and focusing on finding the right role for you. 🌟 #Recruitment #CareerAdvice #Transparency #JobSearch #FrederickFox

How to develop the mentality to close every deal... There are two types of recruiters: Recruiter 1: - Hope things will just work out. - Avoids asking difficult questions. - Doesn't challenge candidates. - Fails to gather complete details. - Ignores the possibility of counter offers. - Reaches the end of the process with unresolved reservations. Recruiter 2: - Considers every option and every deal. - Takes time to review and think critically about each deal. - Anticipates potential obstacles and counter offers early in the process. - Challenges candidates from the start. - Manages every step meticulously, considering every area. By following these steps, you can ensure you're a successful recruiter, not an average one! #rawselection #execuitvesearch #leeds

Recruiters are not responsible for the state of the job market. Recruiters are not responsible when you don't receive an offer. Recruiters are not responsible when your interview doesn't go well. Recruiters are not responsible for the actions of the hiring team. Recruiters are not responsible for the actions of candidates. We are the first touchpoint for candidates and hiring managers. We are responsible for vetting, marketing, negotiating, and creating offers. A lot of us are good people.. We are frustrated with the state of the job market. We deserve to be appreciated after all is said and done. 💚 Show some love to your fellow Recruiters today! It is much needed. #february2024 #presidentsday #mondaymotivation #mondayvibes #opening #jobseeking #recruiters #talentacquisition #opentoconnect
