World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO’s Post

WIPO Director General Daren Tang visited China where he attended a series of events and held bilateral meetings in Jiangxi Province and Beijing. During his six-day visit, Mr. Tang met with Government officials, business leaders and academia and pledged WIPO’s continued support in further developing the intellectual property (IP) ecosystem in the country. Mr. Tang delivered keynote speeches at the International Copyright Forum, in Jingdezhen, as well as the Third Belt and Road High-Level Conference on IP, the China International Fair for Trade in Services and the China IP Annual Conference in Beijing where met with representatives of Chinese companies and universities to talk about the IP challenges and opportunities they face. Additionally, the Director General visited Tsinghua University and met with students enrolled in the first batch of the Master’s Degree Program in Intellectual Property and Innovation Policy offered jointly with WIPO as well as university faculty.
