Now that's an impressive statistic! Female entrepreneurs ran more successful firms after receiving mentorship from women, compared to a control group that received no mentorship and female entrepreneurs who were mentored by men. At Gobundance Women, we recognize the importance of fostering supportive relationships within the entrepreneurial community to promote growth, resilience, and success. If you want to be aligned with like-minded women who you will meet with weekly or bi-weekly and hold you accountable to your goals, comment JOIN. 💡 Businesses founded by women ultimately generate over 2x more revenue than those founded by men. So why, when 5% of investment pitches in Europe are from female teams, do they receive just 1.8% of funding? ▶ This is the kind of struggle Désirée from Alvicus AG helps female entrepreneurs overcome every day. Their mantra of ‘More female. More revenue.’ sums up their mission, and their reason to believe. What we learned with Désirée was at once disheartening, unsurprising, but ultimately inspiring: ➖ Certain pitches are perceived differently depending on the gender of the pitcher. ➖ Financial conversations and decisions are still male-oriented. ➖ In the UK, helping women succeed could add around £250 billion to the economy. If you’d like to learn more and help move things forward, here are some things you can do: ✅ Read Funded Female Founders by David B Horne ✅ Follow Alvicus AG and take a look at their blog. ✅ Check out workshops/sessions in the BFBI Beat Funding Bias Initiative. ❗ Don’t be afraid to call out gender bias wherever you see it. #femaleentrepreneurs #fundingbias #womenfounders

Thanks WorldStartup for the opportunity to attend ChangeNOW today looking forward to the sessions on female Entrepreneurship, Founder and aligning ambition to increase the number of female Founded businesses who are funded. Is it time for the investment community to embrace female entrepreneurial mindsets and recognise that women pitch & negotiate differently...i.e. social impact first (people, planet and profit) rather than profit first.
