Providers are more concerned than ever about their Ofsted judgements and have been seeking support in relation to factual accuracy and formal complaint challenges against Ofsted decision-making. Adding new tenants to an HMO By their very nature tenancies in HMOs tend to be short and more changeable. This means that the group of tenants living in an HMO changes relatively frequently. You need to remember that the occupants of an HMO are effectively strangers so when you introduce a new member to the household that is always going to cause some level of friction in the short term. Communication is key to reducing the risk of conflict but you should also have clear processing in place for dealing with conflict within the property.
