🩷 October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month 💙 💬 At Helpusadopt.org, many of our grant applicants and supporters have experienced infertility, pregnancy, or child loss. Millions of people each year leave infertility treatments without a live birth, just like our Founder & President Becky Fawcett. 📢 That’s why building a better bridge between the worlds of infertility and adoption, to provide better advocacy and education is so crucial. Far too many people don’t know that adoption is even an option for them. 🤝 This month, and every month, we honor those who face the challenges of miscarriage, infertility, and infant loss. We recognize the strength and resilience of those on the journey to become parents and stand with them in support and solidarity. 🌱 We hope through our work and your support we can build a better to bridge to help more families, no matter how they grow. . . . #pregnancyloss #pregnancylossawareness #pregnancylosssupport #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness #pregnancyandinfantloss #pregnancyandinfantlossawarenessmonth #miscarriage #miscarriageawareness #infertilityawareness #ivf #adoption #helpusadopt #adoptioncommunity #adoptiongrants #facesofadoption

It’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Month. 💜 My personal and professional experiences inspired all of the books, and I can say with certainty that these families are truly going through some impossibly hard things… …missing this tiny special person that they never even got a chance to truly know …missing all the things that were supposed to be …missing the roles they were excited to fill …missing their chance to watch their sweet child affect the world …and then having such a heavy heart and clouded brain that they don’t have the words to talk about it. The thing is: these babies do matter. They do affect the world. Their loss affects their families and who they become. They affect what their families do for others. They inspire new ideas, empathetic goals, and good in the world. #pregnancyloss #infantloss #pregnancyandinfantlossawarenessmonth #pregnancyandinfantloss #griefafterbabyloss #stillbirth #miscarriage #medicaltermination #siblingsafterloss #siblingloss #childlifespecialist #childlifeauthor

Expectant couples can enhance their pregnancy experience by prioritizing communication and support. Regularly check in with each other to share feelings, concerns, and expectations. Attend prenatal classes together to build knowledge and skills for childbirth. Create a supportive network of friends and family, as a strong support system can alleviate stress. Plan for the future by discussing parenting styles, responsibilities, and potential challenges. Lastly, embrace the journey together, celebrating milestones and cherishing the anticipation of welcoming a new member to your family. #CommunicationIsKey #SupportEachOther #PrenatalClasses #BuildYourSupportSystem #FuturePlanning #ParentingDiscussion #EmbraceTheJourney #CelebrateMilestones #Anticipation #PregnancyPreparation #shebirth

This is one for the partners of pregnant people! Pregnancy is hard work and can be stressful - here are a few ways you can help to ease that load. Pick up some slack - pregnancy is tiring - your partner is growing a human! The least you can do is take up more of your share of household and life admin. Practice loving touch - offer a foot massage, rub the stretch mark cream into her belly, paint the toenails she can no longer reach... Take time off for appointments - employers have a legal duty to give time off for two appointments, but you might find your employer will let you book additional days so you can go to all the appointments possible. It'll help you understand what's happening, and help you to bond with the baby. Some antenatal classes are held in evenings or at weekends, so you can be sure to attend those too. #Community #InfantMentalHealth #Support #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #First1001Days #Parenting #PerinatalMentalHealth #ChildDevelopment #BabyDevelopment #EmotionalDevelopment #Stress #Pregnancy

SEEING THE UNSEEN?? Unintended pregnancy is an unseen crisis unfolding right before our eyes. Many people will say this is not an emergency. They will say this has always been the case. Why are we alarmed? Why care now? The answer is that it has always been a crisis, but it has been hidden, trivialized as “a women’s concern” or “a private matter”. Out of all unintended pregnancies that happen each year globally, more than one in seven of these cases occurs in India. Let's not only talk about it, let's raise our voice and spread awareness - PREGNANCY BY CHOICE, NOT BY CHANCE Listen till the end to understand why it is important that pregnancy should not be happened by chance and how it affects a women's life. #unintendedpregnancy #pregnancybychoice #abortion #abortionpills #sideeffectsofabortion #maternaldeaths #maternalhealth #unplannedpregnancy #unexpectedpregnancy
