Probably, one of the most (not to miss!) important events in competition law this year, and an opportunity to celebrate Valentine Korah's immense contribution to the making of competition law in the EU and the UK. It is also an opportunity to celebrate UCL's contribution to the study and research of competition law the last six decades, with significant conceptual innovations, radical (and pluralist) thinking [note how many new concepts, new ways of thinking about competition law were "made" at UCL the last six decades - I can only think of Chicago as a place with a similar track record over such a long time...], and our global impact measured by the excellent student and now colleagues' community that was built over the years by Val and the competition law team@UCL. At this conference we will be launching the Valentine Korah fund/programme in competition law and policy to fund a number of initiatives in this area and continue the important legacy Val has left us. The title of the conference "Competition Law Thinking in Times of Change" is I think appropriate and the date of the conference - November 5th - easy to remember (the date of the US elections...). A number of other events organized by the CLES@UCL around the globe in the context of this initiative will be also announced this Fall. Stay tuned! Info and registration for the conference available here https://lnkd.in/d3Rs4itd
