Breast Cancer does not discriminate, affecting women of all ages, races and ethnicities. Early detection continues to be one of the most effective tools for achieving positive outcomes. Still, access to breast cancer detection for the uninsured population has been a serious obstacle for decades. The Rose, the first nonprofit breast cancer organization in Texas to cover the costs of breast care for the uninsured, has bridged this gap for many, and St. Joseph Health awarded the organization a $30,000 CommonSpirit Health Community Health Improvement Grant in support of The Rose's work in the Brazos Valley and beyond. https://ow.ly/8h4I50Ur4Z7 #helloHumankindnss #communityhealth

Should we use "chief" in titles, or is it time for a change? My dear friend and business partner, Shaney Jo—founder of Keep A Breast, a nonprofit for breast cancer awareness—recently raised this question. I’ll share her post in the comments so you can join the conversation and weigh in. This question actually opens up a bigger discussion. In the creative and marketing world, things are shifting fast. PR is evolving, social media roles are changing, and marketing titles are transforming. We’re not just rebranding roles; people are doing more and doing it differently. Are we creating new titles to reflect these shifts? Where’s it all heading? Titles are in flux, and it’s fascinating to watch. Maybe, as creatives, we can be the ones to lead this change. So, what’s it going to be? #careers #growth #kevadineagency #BFFRecruiters

As part of that commitment, the Perdue Foundation is investing $100,000 in The TidalHealth Foundation “Drive For Mobile Mammography campaign on the Delmarva Peninsula. It was their "me time" and we wanted to make it "their best time". Working to add to the income of the family as domestic help or a daily waged worker, women would have seldom thought about their health and wellness. To bridge the disparities in #cancercare because of social settings and economic disadvantages, we planned an awareness session on #breastcancer for #migrantwomen. We were happy to note that most families supported by Sampark are beneficiaries of #AyushmanBharatPradhanMantriJanArogyaYojana. This insurance covers #breastscreening which was reassuring to the women that they could avail of these facilities. I was not surprised when they disclosed that they were shy to talk about it, and going to a health center would be a challenge for them. We thus sincerely hope the conversation we started and the information we shared, has instilled some confidence and at least few women would take the lead and motivate the rest. It is important that women are informed about the growing burden of breast cancer. The awareness sessions on #breastcancer are #lifesaving, because as per India data -a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 4 minutes in our country. - one woman dies of breast cancer every 13 minutes. - more than 50% of women in India who are diagnosed with breast cancer have stage 3 or 4 of the disease which makes treatment very challenging. The key messaging in awareness sessions is - Breast cancer if detected early is curable. Thus follow #breastselfexamination and other screening techniques and reach the doctor on time. Women's health in India is a key factor in the country's economic growth. It is said that every $1 invested in women's health can yield $3 in economic growth. Strong partnerships are essential to support women's health. Thanks Madhavi Bijjur Madi, Judit Andrade,Sreedevi Thiriveedhi and Joshna Vaddi for interacting with the ladies and explaining the technique of #breastselfexamination in the language of preference. Thanks, John Moses and Dr. Rajshekhar for the collaborative effort.
In light of October being marked as breast cancer awareness month, Sampark on October 25, 2024, the Oracle volunteering in collaboration with Sampark conducted an awareness programme on #BreastCancer for migrant women at the #CLPD Labour colony, #Bengaluru. The awareness program was attended by 42 women participants and was facilitated by Dr. Rajshekhar Jaka from the Sankalpa Chase Cancer Foundation. With one of Sampark’s primary focus areas being on health, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Jaka for such an informative awareness program. Grateful to the entire Oracle team - Dr. Kamal Deep Peter, Madhavi Bijjur Madi, and Sreedevi Thiriveedhi for their efforts. #breastcancerawareness #oracle #migrantwomen #migranthealth #Sankalpachasecancerfoundation #sampark
