The Center for Media and Social Impact, recently released a Best Practices Guide for Negotiating Social Impact Rights in Documentary Film. This guide helps filmmakers, strategize how to preserve their social impact campaigns when negotiating with a distributor and to have your sales agent advocate for an impact campaign in any deal that is struck. This guide was initiated by the Impact Rights Working Group, a project of the Global Impact Producers Alliance (GIPA).
