Stress and burnout are rampant in many industries today, especially with frontline personnel and leadership. When we step into a performance improvement project with a client, we engage with frontline leaders to assess their skills and training versus their roles and responsibilities. Overburdening these key personnel without proper training and development is a recipe for burnout.” A toxic culture can lead to increased stress levels, low morale, and a lack of motivation among employees. A lack of trust between employees and management. A feeling of being undervalued or unappreciated among employees. A competitive or “cutthroat” environment with hurtful office gossip and negative behavior going unchecked. A lack of transparency from management. Just for the sack of our luxurious life style we all are started playing with our health . Over burned with " EMI'S "

Thanks Workplace Safety & Prevention Services for a great read. This also applies to the leadership levels as well! Senior leaders need to structure their organization in a way where no layer experiences psychological harm. Regular check ins with the leadership team can provide valuable insight into where work demands are causing harm and allow you to make adjustments to support all under the umbrella. Doing nothing to support the leadership level will also cost your business!
Being tasked with additional responsibilities at work can be motivating and rewarding. But humans have capacity limits, and when additional demands are constant, taxing, stressful or unrealistic it can cause workers to suffer from emotional and cognitive exhaustion, cause psychological harm and possible mental illness. Don’t wait for negative work demands to take its toll on your staff. Use the insights from this week’s Trusted Leader blog by Dr. Bill Howatt / Howatt HR Consulting to identify draining requests and protect worker well-being. https://wsps.news/3yR1Mhm Doing nothing will cost your business: low motivation, reduced productivity and high turnover. #TheTrustedLeader #workplaceculture #leadership

Career Life Coach for Expats | I empower professionals who feel stuck at work to create a change strategy, unlock their potential, and build the lives they desire | Professional Certified Coach ICF
I recently had an interesting conversation with one of the companies. We discussed potential training and coaching to grow leadership skills, increase engagement, and improve communication within the company. The top management claimed that they have already provided a complex, inclusive and efficient training system for their managers and employees. At the same time, they complained about a new generation's approach to work, focused more on benefits than results, difficulties finding good employees, poor well-being levels, and numerous burnout cases in their teams. How is it possible that with providing such complex and modern training, the company is facing all these serious issues? Training employees and feeding them with benefits is not always the best way to prevent burnout and low engagement. There may be a time for senior leaders to reflect on how they can lead by example. The McKinsey Health Institute research explains how top leaders can redesign their organisations to create inclusive, sustainable, and supportive work environments: https://lnkd.in/d5bHA2cN. #leadershipbyexample #healthyworkenvironment #burnout.
