The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety's strategic plan - Towards 2029 - builds on our vision of a safe, fair and prosperous future for Western Australia. The intricate artwork designed by Aboriginal artist Melissa Spillman (Woods) represents a 'Cleaner, Greener Future', our responsibility to protect the Boodja (land/country) and its waterways. We recently launched our Strategic Plan Towards 2029. Our new plan supports a safe, fair and prosperous future for Western Australia. We have directed our priorities towards sustaining responsible industries, protecting the community, and driving the energy transition. We had the privilege of working with Aboriginal artist Melissa Spillman (Woods) of Maarakool Art to develop an original artwork for Towards 2029. Representing DEMIRS’ commitment to a “Cleaner, Greener Future”, Mel has woven variations of blue, brown, and green to represent our responsibility to protect the Boodja (land/country) and its waterways.
