Looking forward to speaking at today’s SETN SHRM luncheon on the topic of connection. As a consultant specializing in leadership and strategy for organizations, a recurring theme is the need for increased connection in the workplace. There is considerable discussion about measuring engagement and its impact on talent attraction, retention, and productivity. However, these are outcomes, not predictors. In my estimation, connection in the workplace is in crisis, but it can easily be addressed.

See my website https://lnkd.in/e4GTWAm6 In a survey conducted earlier this year of nearly 100 senior TA/EVP professionals, 67% of participants felt that the inability to produce Employer Branding metrics which influence senior leadership inhibited the progress of their function. There’s rarely been a more important time in which to make a very robust case about the results of employer branding. If that case simply isn’t registering with senior leadership for either a lack of metrics or for metrics they consider unimportant, then this is going to impact forward investment.
