For better comprehension, various mathematical descriptions and models of the universe were formulated and simulated. Johannes Kepler, via his mathematical analysis, described celestial motions using ellipses, Copernicus’ heliocentric model of the Solar System that all components of the solar system orbit the Sun, not the Earth, was revolutionized by Galileo, and the gravity theory was developed by Isaac Newton Albert Einstein, in 1915, published his general relativity theory, a current description of gravitation in modern physics, which is based on the idea that massive objects cause a distortion in space-time. Examples of the space telescope's discoveries about “The Mysteries of the Universe” are the age of the universe, universe origin and evolution, dark matter, black holes, Crab nebula, solar system, gravity, supernova, galaxies, TRAPPIS-1, and a host of others. Advancements in space observatory technologies have helped to improve observation of the universe. For example, astronomers, before the year 1999, estimated that the age of the universe was between 7 and 20 billion years but with technological advancement and higher precision, the Hubble Space Telescope estimated the age of the be around 13.7 billion years. Chandra telescope detected X-ray emissions from very hot regions of the universe such as exploded stars, clusters of galaxies, and matter around black holes. Hubble discovered proto-planetary disks (proplyds) in the Orion Nebula; evidence for the presence of extrasolar planets around Sun-like stars; and the optical counterparts of the still-mysterious gamma-ray bursts. XPoSat (X-ray Polarimeter Satellite) is first polarimetry and third observatory space mission of India. The main objective is to study astronomical objects like black holes through this mission. The XPoSat satellite was launched by ISRO at 09:10 Hrs IST (03:40 Hrs GMT) on January 1, 2024, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre by using PSLV-C58 lauching vehicle. With this mission, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) became the second space agency after NASA (IXPE) to conduct a mission to study the polarisation of cosmic X-rays. From 2023, ISRO is conducting a set of important missions including “Chandrayaan 3” and “Aditya L1”, which helped India to hold a strong position in The Global Space Exploration Market. In the universe, light and darkness coexist. For many years, space observatories, also refer to as space telescopes, have been launched into outer space to explore and collect data about distant planets, galaxies, asteroids, and other celestial bodies. Space telescopes are satellites that could map the entire sky or focus on selected astronomical objects or parts of the sky and beyond. In comparison to the ground-based observations, space telescopes are not affected by the absorption or scattering of certain wavelengths of light, obstruction by clouds, and distortions due to atmospheric refraction such as twinkling. They can observe dim objects during the daytime, and they avoid light pollution. Examples of space observatories are Chandra X-ray Observatory, Euclid, Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope, INTEGRAL, International Space Station, IXPE (Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer), James Webb Space Telescope, NICER, PIPER, and a host of others. Through the help of Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers were able to trace evolution and formation of galaxies. They discovered that most galaxies contain supermassive black holes. Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, a powerful space observatory, detected gamma rays, the most energetic form of light. The Swift Space Observatory, a space satellite launched on 20 November 2004, studied gamma-ray bursts (GRB), the most powerful explosions in the universe, and other cosmic objects and events. Swift housed three multiwavelength telescopes, collecting data in visible, ultraviolet, X-ray, and gamma-ray light. "Physicists at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich wanted to know whether the planned LIFE [Large Interferometer for Exoplanets] space mission could really detect traces of life on other planets. Yes, it can. The researchers reached this conclusion with the help of observations of our own planet... What’s unique about the study is that the team tested the future LIFE mission’s capabilities on real rather than simulated spectra.
