If you're concerned about power outages during heatwaves and other extreme weather events, this webinar is for you.
On June 20, we’ll explore the potential of electric vehicles (EVs) to reduce air pollution, lower energy costs, and provide backup power via their batteries during extreme weather events. During a power outage, EVs can power a home for up to three days. They can also be moved where they’re needed most — to medical centers, fire stations, food stores, or other vital service locations. Speakers: Rachel Zook, Nuvve Holding Corp.; Melissa Chan, Fermata Energy; Zach Woogen, Vehicle-Grid Integration Council; and Robert Stafford, World Resources Institute. Happy #EarthDay. I am proud to be part of the company and the industry that makes the world a little better every day. You can make the right decision every day: Walk or ride your bike. Use public transportation or take the train (even if it is sometimes annoying). If a car is necessary, then make the right choice: drive electric! #ChargePoint #sustainability #evcharging #driveelectric #environment #emobility #zeroemissions
🌎 Our commitment to enabling electric mobility isn't just a promise; it's a reality. Together, we're driving towards a better future, see how much we have accomplished together. https://bit.ly/4aOZ0an

When everything goes well, charging an electric car can be a smooth experience. When it doesn't, like it didn't on the Secretary of Energy's 4-day electric road trip this summer, it can be an insufferably annoying experience. Electric is here to stay. But the US infrastructure required for it still has a long way to go before we will see significantly more electric cars on American roadways. https://hubs.ly/Q023CGV40

The timing seems to be very important for technological evolution to emerge on the market … but WHAT are the incentives and WHY do the industry push for efficiency, convenience and productivity? Is it all about design and values? Down below you find a 100 year old picture of cars charging electricity over night. It tells a story about how technological evolution is an illusion. The industry seems to return to the basics as the market say so.

I am eagerly looking forward to the continuous progress in electric mobility and the opportunities it offers. However, has there been agreement among automotive EE manufacturing, electrical companies, and state/federal agencies regarding the establishment of power grids that smoothly transition between available power sources—both fossil and renewable—while minimizing negative impacts on consumers, such as brownouts, blackouts, or scheduled electricity usage? This challenge is further complicated by the growing demand from vehicle charging stations and the rise in home electricity consumption due to electric vehicle charging. #electricvehicles #automanufacturing #electriccharging https://lnkd.in/e6pkkirT
Are we truly ready for an all-electric future? ⚡️ | Are we truly ready for an all-electric future? ⚡️ | By StarTalk | We've had steam engines like forever, right? So, why did it take until 1903 to make an airplane which is just another engine but now, it's flying and the problem was to get enough power out of a steam engine required a steam engine that was so heavy, you could never get enough powe

Europe has crossed the number of 600,000 public charge points. Thanks for sharing the facts on #EVcharging infrastructure development, ChargeUp Europe! Our AFRY Management Consulting analysis shows we will see a growth to around 2,4 Mio charge points by 2030. This means a European-wide average CAGR of 21% between 2023 and 2030. Growth rates vary greatly between the countries. The Netherlands, already a mature market will see a CAGR of 15%, while Poland will enjoy a CAGR of 35%. Given all the noise about new DC and HPC #chargers every day it might be surprising for some that the share of AC chargers is still at 88%. By 2030 we project the share of AC charge points still at around 80%. The bulk of publicly installed CAPACITY however will shift towards HPC: 65% by 2030 (DC: 10% / AC: 25%). This is the largest #infrastructure project of our time. #makingfuture
We've officially soared past a remarkable 600,000 public #EVcharging points in the EU according to the European Alternative Fuels Observatory, crossing another milestone on the path towards mass use of #electricvehicles 🎉⚡ 🇪🇺 #EV drivers can now charge at any of the 603,384 charging points in cities, at destinations or alongside roads: 🔌 The charging points divide as 11,8% DC - 88,2% AC. ⚡ 🔌 Since 2020, the number of DC charging points has increased almost three times (289,47%). 📈 Interested in more facts and figures that define our industry?
