I believe strongly in all of the new values we rolled out last week at D&H United. However, "WE work safely - no exceptions, no excuses" is number one on purpose. At D&H, we install, service and test & inspect petroleum and EV systems. Our business IS our people. Without them staying safe and healthy each and every day, nothing else matters! Stay safe everyone. Your family, friends, colleagues, customers, suppliers, dog or cat and everyone else important in your life are counting on you to do so! At D&H United WE... 1) WE work safely - no exceptions, no excuses 2) WE invest in people, processes and tools to enable our best work 3) WE have integrity - our actions align with our words 4) WE are accountable and learn from our mistakes 5) WE act thoughtfully, quickly and proactively 6) WE respect and welcome everyone's opinion

Employee recognition is essential for fostering a positive, motivated, and connected culture within your organization. As the program lead for Cengage's Ethos Awards, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact it has on the employees in our organization. It's truly rewarding to see the genuine feelings of excitement, appreciation, and engagement that come from feeling valued. I'm proud to be part of a company that prioritizes employee recognition and celebrates the contributions of its amazing team members. I would love to hear from others about their experiences with employee recognition programs. Have you seen the positive effects it can have on employee morale and engagement? Comment below to share your stories and insights. #EmployeeRecognition #WorkplaceCulture
Our Ethos Award is an annual culture recognition that celebrates exceptional people with exceptional rewards. “The goal of this award is to drive a high-performance culture tied directly to our Ethos”, explains Andrew Theado, who manages the program. “Throughout the year, eligible employees nominate a colleague or group of colleagues for the award. Each month, a cross-functional selection committee reviews the nominations and names one Ethos Award Winner, as well as two runners-up. At the end of each fiscal year an overall winner is named and receives a company spotlight as well as a monetary reward.” This year, more than 550 Cengage Group employees voted and determined that Steve R., Maintenance Mechanic Electrician, deserved the title, ‘2024 Ethos Award Winner.’ Join us in congratulating him! "We are a safety and a high-tech company, two concepts that we have merged to make us a leading force in safety tech. It has created a sense of pride within the organization, we are driven by a safety mindset and the belief that we are making positive contributions to the world." Our CEO, Philip Isell Lind af Hageby, expresses this in a featured article by Göteborgs Posten, one of Sweden's most prominent daily newspapers, following their recent visit to our headquarters in Gothenburg. Göteborgs-Posten covers our global impact in marine safety, innovative safety-tech solutions, and strategic growth plans, emphasizing our dedication to shaping a safer world. The article also highlights Consilium's new ownership of Antin Infrastructure Partners, propelling our expansion into markets such as transportation and fire safety at hotels. Noteworthy is our robust growth, exemplified by the addition of over 120 new hires this year, with more recruitments planned for the upcoming year. Here is an English summary of the article. In this snapshot from our Herzog Stacy Witbeck personnel for the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach projects in California, we capture two essential aspects of our safety culture: the sunrise safety briefing and the 360° vehicle walk-around. As Day 1 of #ConstructionSafetyWeek began, our JV team gathered to discuss the importance of driving personal ownership. One simple way to do that? Take a good look around your vehicle before you get in. It's not just a routine, it reinforces our core belief of Safety Without Compromise. From seeking clarity in our daily meetings to stepping up when guidance is needed, taking responsibility is encouraged before performing the work. #SafetyWeek2024

https://lnkd.in/g8rKfdAP This is one of my favorite #aerospaceexecutivepodcasts with Bob Waltz who discusses the amazing culture of safety that has been developed by the leading airlines. So... I'm playing it again! Since its recording Bob has moved on to a leadership role with #SunCountry. What you will learn: · How to set pilots up for safety: With rampant pilot hiring what training gaps needed to be closed? · Solving the pilot shortfall: Would it be wise to reduce the 1500 hour rule? · Why the human-machine interface is still needed: As aircraft become more complicated, how do we make sure pilots are familiar with the basics?

“I come from an environment where, if you see a snake, you kill it. At General Motors, if you see a snake, the first thing you do is to hire a consultant on snakes. Then you get a committee on snakes, and then you discuss it for a couple of years. The most likely course of action is — nothing. You figure, the snake hasn’t bitten anybody yet, so you just let it crawl around on the factory floor. We need to build an environment where the first guy who sees the snake kills it.” ---- Ross Perot #accountability #takeaction #growthmindset
