Imagine a planet with 60% less plastic... On this Earth Day Earth Day Network advocates for a 60% reduction in the production of ALL plastics by 2024 in order to improve human and planet health. Plastics fill every corner of our world, from our oceans to our landfills, posing a HUGE threat to marine life, ecosystems, and ultimately, our own health. The textile industry, a significant contributor to plastic pollution, also demands our attention. So, WHAT can WE do? It starts with each one of us embracing sustainable practices in our professional lives. Aligning with the sustainable strategy, reducing conventional material use, aiming to implement circular designs and minimizing waste wherever possible. Make conscious choices when selecting materials. Opt for fibers with a lower environmental impact, such as recycled cotton over virgin cotton, to reduce our ecological footprint. Let's take concrete steps towards sustainability this Earth Day.
