I've recently taken up gardening as a hobby, and it really brings me a lot of joy. This is my first carnivorous plant. Drosera Capensis aka Sundew is not only beautiful and easy to care for, it is also very helpful in mosquito and fungus gnats control. Fungus gnats are very common plant pests, so I get to control their population in a very organic, pesticide free way :) I can't wait for my baby to bloom! #gardening #nature #carnivorousplant

Although not native to North America, Western honeybees (Apis mellifera) are a critical part of our ecosystems and help pollinate much of our agricultural cropland production. Native prairie plants, such as partridge pea (Chamaecrista fasciculata), are excellent sources of nectar for honeybees and provide the necessary habitat for pollinator species to survive. Next time you’re out gardening, don’t be a BUZZ-kill and plant natives! #pollinators #nativeprairies

Are you into your gardening? Learn more about some top tips that might just save your plants 🌿 Apply only composted, rotted manure that has cured for at least six months to your soil. Fresh manure is too high in nitrogen and can "burn" plants; it may also contain pathogens or parasites. Manure from pigs, dogs, and cats should never be used in gardens or compost piles because they may contain parasites that can infect humans. #gardening #lifts #stairlifts
