During our preliminary study of all 24 existing National Pride Projects, we were able to discern critical challenges across the projects. Budget constraints, financial management, land acquisition, environmental and social risks, and geotechnical difficulties were among the most common. These identified problems have led to harrowing outcomes regarding the pace of the projects, and eventual cost and time overruns. #PublicProcurement #NationalPrideProjects #NepalNow #NepalNews

The Royal Town Planning Institute has proposed that the government publish a clear route map to include timescales for the passage of the Infrastructure and Planning Bill, changes to the NPPF and the establishment of strategic planning areas.
