🌍 Desertification & drought are pressing issues that will impact every one of us, whether we want it or not. If we don't take action, how will we protect our children and their future? This is a global challenge that needs our immediate attention. Every individual on the planet must take responsibility to keep the conversation on land restoration alive and commit to activities that can reverse land degradation. Can we all do our part locally, so our combined efforts reach a global level?
The #DesertificationAndDrought Day reminds us to combat these critical issues, with up to 40% of all land area worldwide considered degraded.
As a youth-led community benefit company, we are celebrating our contribution through #landrestoration where so far we have:
🌱 Planted 262,500 trees
🌿 Grown 11 tree species, with the highest percentage being indigenous species to demonstrate our commitment to conservation
Our efforts span various land use systems, including agroforests, urban forests, and riparian areas. We employ restoration practices such as conservation, avoided deforestation, sustainable agriculture, and forest enrichment.
Together, we can make a difference. Will you join us in becoming the #GenerationRestoration and ensure a #sustainablefuture for all? 🌿
