In the heart of Europe, a company named Petroprema NV has been quietly powering industries with its specialized equipment since 1958.
Known for its expertise in heating, instrumentation, and equipment for process and tanks, Petroprema NV has carved out a niche for itself in the industrial landscape.
𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲’𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬-𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲!
Petroprema NV serves as the sole official representative of Curtiss-Wright Portable Ventilators for Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany.
This partnership is more than just a business arrangement; it’s a collaboration that brings together two entities with rich histories of innovation and excellence.
Curtiss-Wright’s legacy dates back to the early 20th century, a time when the world was just beginning to look skyward with dreams of flight. Formed in 1929 through the merger of companies founded by Glenn Curtiss, the father of naval aviation, and the Wright brothers, pioneers of the first successful airplane, Curtiss-Wright became a symbol of American ingenuity and progress.
The era of early flights was marked by a spirit of daring and discovery. On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers achieved the first powered, sustained, and controlled airplane flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
This breakthrough not only launched the age of aviation but also set the stage for the future Curtiss-Wright Corporation to become a dominant force in the aerospace industry.
Throughout the decades, Curtiss-Wright has evolved, shifting from aircraft manufacturing to providing high-performance components and services for various sectors, including defense, energy, and commercial industries. The company’s ability to adapt and innovate has ensured its continued relevance in a rapidly changing world.
Petroprema NV’s association with such a storied company speaks volumes about its commitment to quality and excellence.
By representing Curtiss-Wright’s ventilation products, Petroprema NV aligns itself with a legacy of pioneering innovation that transformed the world.
Today, as Petroprema NV continues to serve a diverse range of industries, from chemicals and petrochemicals to energy and metallurgy, it does so with the knowledge that it is part of a larger narrative—one that stretches back to the sandy dunes of Kitty Hawk and the dream of human flight.
The partnership between Petroprema and Curtiss-Wright is more than a mere business venture; it’s a testament to the enduring power of innovation and the human spirit’s relentless pursuit of progress.
As we look to the future, these two companies will undoubtedly continue to propel industries forward, just as the Wright brothers propelled humanity into the skies over a century ago.

I wanted to put into perspective what Electra has been working with over the past five years in Blackburn and what can be accomplished even in less-than-ideal conditions. As you can see in this picture, there is a line of Electra trucks being assembled in their new, spacious facility. This photo was taken some time ago, and now there is another row of trucks parallel to the ones you see, as well as an additional row behind those. In the far corner of the production shop, there are also some Electra EXchange projects underway.
The transformation is pretty inspiring if I may say so myself, showing how far Electra has come. From working in a cramped, difficult environment to now confidently assembling multiple rows of electric trucks.
For comparison, take a look at the old facility. This image gives a glimpse of the cramped conditions where space was so limited that manoeuvring trucks and parts was a significant challenge. Despite these constraints, Electra made significant progress in the commercial vehicle sector, assembling and preparing their trucks for electrification within short time-frames.
And as a photographer, it’s exciting to now be able to capture wide-scope shots of all that is happening at Electra without obstruction from unwanted objects.

The Byford team updated their weekly routine to increase collaboration and remove the Friday afternoon rush.
Now, area teams of engineers and supervisors update and review their plans each Wednesday, with Aphex helping to identify cross-team interfaces and remove them before the final presentation on a Thursday.
"Our new approach drives the engineers and supervisors to be completely across their plans and how they fit into the wider project before our final review meeting," said David, "this has driven real buy-in and accountability to our plans."
This enables them to use the lookahead to drive weekly reporting, too.
