Elevating Hospitality Leadership: The Feedforward Advantage Let's talk real – in the world of hospitality training, we've all encountered those moments that felt like a customer service crash. But what if I told you here's a game-changing, human touch that not only flips the script but turns those experiences into powerful lessons? 🚀 Welcome to the hospitality training revolution – it's called feedforward, and it's not just a buzzword; it's the secret sauce your leadership training needs. **Why Feedforward?** It's as simple as a warm welcome at the entrance. Instead of dwelling on past service glitches, feedforward gears your team up for future wins. It's like having a mentor who doesn't just critique but guides your staff toward success. A Snapshot from the Front Lines: Imagine a waiter, Jake, who had a rough service encounter. With feedforward, his supervisor didn't just point out missteps afterward but coached him before the shift, ensuring a smooth dining experience. That's the game-changing spark of feedforward in hospitality. Why Trust the Shift? This isn't just a theoretical shift; it's a strategy born from the trenches of real-world hospitality. I've seen the impact firsthand – turning moments of service hiccups into opportunities for growth. 🌟 Credibility in the Mix: Marshall Goldsmith, the mastermind behind this approach, isn't a stranger to our world. It's not just a leadership theory; it's a tried-and-true method that transforms feedback into a dynamic tool for excellence. Ready to reshape your hospitality training playbook and lead with the future in mind? Dive into the feedforward advantage and witness your team's service soar to new heights. 🌟 #FeedforwardAdvantage #HospitalityLeadership #gamechanger #shoptalk2020 #tips

“I spoke to European CEO about finding hope for leaders in the hospitality sector. Amidst negative narratives that emphasise the current challenges, I outline positive solutions for CEOs based on putting their people first. Talent retention also retains guests. However, to embrace these suggestions, leaders need to commit to self-improvement opportunities and coaching can help crystallise this.” It would be great to hear from you if executive coaching could be the catalyst that you need. https://lnkd.in/eGjGzHeb

2024 Ramadaan Day 06 Post TIP No. 106 – Leadership and The 6 Barriers Continued from and following TIP No. 105… In Stages of Personal Growth (TIP No. 103) and The 80 / 20 Rule (TIP No. 104), I referred to the 6 main barriers that prevent us from reaching our Leadership Zone or our Zone of Excellence where we can perform to the level of our full potential. In Today’s TIP I want to identify those barriers. In future posts I will describe some of the barriers in more details… but if you want to know more and do something about them before then, you can get a copy of THE LEADERSHIP ZONE from the link shown below. For people to grow from their Zone of Dependence to Their Zone of Maturity and Self Reliance or the Zone of Independence, and to grow mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually, they need to cross the following 3 barriers: · Barrier of Language · Barrier of Purpose · Barrier of Self Discipline The Zone of independence is a great place to be and most people aspire to be there, but it is not where people perform to their highest potential and capabilities.. that zone is the Leadership Zone or Zone of Excellence. To grow to this higher Zone, people need to cross three additional barriers: · Barrier of Ego Management · Barrier of Effective Communications · Barrier of Creative Collaboration When people cross all 6 Barriers, they become a bigger version of themselves and their lives are transformed at home, in the workplace and in the community. If leaders of organizations make it part of their corporate culture to help employees cross these barriers by providing appropriate Environment, Education and Experience; the organizations will also transform and become top notch corporate citizens. To know more about this and other tips, you can DM me or order a copy of THE LEADERSHIP ZONE: Lessons from the Front Lines -from the link: https://lnkd.in/gNqE8q-9 - Digital copy from anywhere in the world, hard copy only in North America. More to come in TIP 107……. #leadership #communications #relationships #softskills #education #training #people #management

Accelerating growth through Strategic Partnerships as Vice President of Business Development in Fintech and Payments
It’s clear that while hitting big milestones like securing funding or gaining market share matters, the day-to-day dynamics are equally crucial. Rob Bier’s wisdom from "Smooth Scaling" underscores the importance of addressing organizational friction—those subtle drains on momentum like bad meetings or unclear goals. These seemingly small issues can compound over time, impacting our overall effectiveness more than we realize. It’s a reminder to focus not just on lagging indicators but also on the quality of our daily interactions and processes. Building a culture of positivity, where our teams thrive in their work rather than just at work, emerges as a key takeaway. #Leadership #OrganizationalCulture #ScalingBusiness #EmployeeExperience

Do you feel like you are going at 100mph right now? I feel like I have been super productive over the last week and my calendar is bursting at the seams until next Friday, when we can relax to enjoy the festive period. Just in the last week or so, I have: 🗣 Held 8 x 2-hour coaching sessions with members of an Executive Board in an organisation based internationally. 🎙 Booked in 3 amazing new guests for our Human-Centred Leadership Conference. 🤝 Just finalised a very important collaboration agreement on a huge project for us in 2024 (details to be released very soon). 🏛 Delivered a keynote address at the Houses of Parliament on Human-Centred Leadership and its critical place in future workplace cultures. 📜 Held important talks about accreditation for a very big programme coming soon (stay tuned for details). Seriously, if this comes off as it should this will be one of Ignite Your Inner Potential's biggest offerings to date. 💡 Discussed a brand new project with clients in a national organisation. 📚 Agreed to take on a new client project for delivery in the early part of 2024 (I need to keep my diary focused). 👩💼 Agreed to take on another mentee who wants to move into business with a great idea. 🎤 Signed up several speakers for a huge, landmark event to be announced soon. 👨🎓 Delivered the first module of an extended leadership programme at a university. 🎙 Appeared as a guest on a great podcast talking about the importance of learning cultures. 👨🎓 Explored my own self-development by looking for further qualifications to enhance my own leadership knowledge. I feel like I need to sleep for a week but just realised I have another week of intense activity. It's all very exciting though. 😀 Anyone busy trying to get things done in time for next Friday?
