Aiming Past To Future PepsiCo 🥤 recently announced the launch of its new logo, drawing inspiration from its iconic 1987–1997 logo. The new logo pays homage to the brand's rich heritage while taking a big leap toward the future. The sixth change in the logo began with the completion of Pepsi's 125 years. Now, let's take a brief look at the motivation behind this. Pepsi 🥤 has indeed experienced a decline in CSD market share. Statistics show PepsiCo's CSD market share in the US was around 8.9% in 2021. Pepsi's CSD market share in the US for 2022 could be somewhere around the same range as 2021, possibly in the low to mid-single digits (around 8–9%). Pepsi's share in 2023 might be slightly lower than 2022, possibly dipping further into the low single digits. Pepsi is losing its overall soda market, so to regain it, Pepsi 🥤 now tries to expand its share by connecting with existing and potential customers. Inspired by the old logo, Pepsi 🥤 launched a new one that serves as a promotional tool for the entire Gen Z demographic, thereby targeting the largest market population.
