Out today—insights from the Climate and Equity Lab’s Discovery Phase!
In partnership with Social Innovation Canada and York University’s Faculty of Environment and Urban Change, the findings of the Lab’s Discovery Phase outline how climate change affects vulnerable and equity-deserving groups in Canadian urban environments.
The results of the academic review and in-person workshops conducted in Vancouver, Waterloo Region, and Toronto pinpoint five “levers of change” that can effectively tackle climate change vulnerability.
To accelerate progress, Gore Mutual Foundation has committed $250,000 to award five $50,000 grants to charitable organizations and registered non-profits working together to advance one or more “levers of change” acknowledged in the report.
