Today I celebrate 10 years of my professional journey and 10 years with #Deloitte. Back when Deloitte came to our college for campus hiring I never thought it would become my second home. As I review my journey with firm I realize how grateful I’m for everything. Everyone who gave me a chance right from hiring me to people who invested in my growth and career patiently. I’ve been lucky for my seniors who took a chance in my capabilities and I too made sure I make them proud by constantly learning and delivering. If you ask me why I’m still here then my answer would be because Deloitte is truly an amazing place to work and don’t get me wrong there will be times when you will hate it, times will get tough, you would meet people who don’t have your best interests or would pull you down but it also means you take that as an opportunity to learn and grow through it and come out successfully. Firm has shaped a fresh out of MBA college amateur like me who didn’t even know how to operate Excel to a professional I’m today who helps businesses optimise their work through project management and strategic planning. My old me would have never imagined I would come this far and I’m proud of myself for the perseverance and commitment I showed through this process. It’s easy to compare your journey to others who might have crossed you or become successful or doing ‘better’ things but know that everyone’s journey is different and so is everyone’s timeline.
