A secure future relies on both nutritious and sustainable foods. Farmed fish is the most resource-efficient animal protein on the planet and is considered core to FAO’s #BlueTransformation. To grow farmed fish, #fishmeal and fish oil are needed at key stages of their development. "Fishmeal and fish oil are considered among the most nutritious and most digestible ingredients for farmed fish, as well as the major source of omega-3 fatty acids in animal diets", the FAO wrote in its State of the World’s #Fisheries and #Aquaculture, 2024. Via David Shiffman - The importance of rebuilding trust in fisheries governance in post-Brexit England - ScienceDirect: * Trust between managers and fishers is crucial for the governance of sustainable fisheries. * Our novel approach combined different aspects of trust for quantitative analysis. * Across many fisheries there was evidence of low levels of trust in institutions. * Extenuating local circumstances and issues drive low levels of trust. * Rebuilding diverse forms of trust would enhance future fisheries management. https://lnkd.in/erqKBiYs
