@Bloomberg, interesting read on remote work and its impact on businesses. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's survey highlights the negative effects on workplace culture, cohesiveness, communication, and training, but also the benefits in terms of recruitment and retention. In my opinion, the rise in people reevaluating their careers and seeking a better work-life balance 🌟 is a positive development. We've all experienced the cost of sacrificing personal aspects for work, and a more balanced approach can certainly boost productivity and satisfaction. It's great to see more than half of the respondents acknowledging the recruitment advantage of offering remote work 🎯. As someone who has worked from home for 15 years, I can attest to the incredible benefits that come with it – especially the balance it provides in my life. I wonder how employers can address the concerns 🤔 about culture, communication, and training while keeping the perks of remote work. Have you seen any companies doing it well? I'd love to hear examples, as it might inspire more organizations to embrace flexible work arrangements and contribute to a happier and more efficient workforce. #RemoteWork #WorkLifeBalance #CareerShift Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/g-QvFzJz

➡ Are your employees getting their work done? ➡ Meeting all their goals and being productive? ➡ Are they producing excellent results? ➡ Do they have work-life balance? ➡ Are your employees happy? If the answer was yes to these questions that is awesome. 🤔 Now, why are you forcing them to go back to the office? Companies hire adults not children. If their work is getting done, why do you care where they work? Of course, not every business can be remote, we understand that. Companies I see forcing employees to go back to the office are the jobs that can be done remotely. "Many bosses and managers can only exercise their power through micromanaging which is easier in-person. They drank Kool-Aid of believing that working remotely is a benefit that only should be utilized by them." - Anthony P 🔊 A good manager can tell if you are productive or not, without watching you. #remote #hybrid #remotework #returntooffice #changeforthebetter #recruiterlife #hr #hrcommunity #employeeexperience #change #letsconnect #change #recruitment ✨All my thoughts are my own✨

This risk of burnout for hybrid and remote employees has nothing to do with their work schedule but with the more glaring problem of corporate culture that demands being a resource instead of a person. It perceives that “part of your job description” is making up for the incompetence and disorganization of those above and around you, then shames and threatens you if you dare to disagree with this philosophy and set boundaries based on your actual pay rate. As much as remote and hybrid work are things of the future, we cannot simply use them as a band-aid, a scapegoat, or a “perk” and expect them to make up for the real issues here.
