Big shoutout to our own Jeremy Reymer the visionary behind DriverReach, who recently shared his thoughts in the Georgia Motor Trucking Association Spring 2024 issue. Jeremy dives into how the trucking industry's approach to recruitment has transformed, moving away from seeing drivers as mere numbers to recognizing them as invaluable team members. His take? Recruitment is all about forming genuine, lasting connections. "It’s more than just filling a position; it's about welcoming drivers who are here to stay," Jeremy highlights. This perspective not only aims to improve driver loyalty but also strengthens the overall workplace culture. For anyone in the trucking biz, Jeremy's insights are a must-read, offering a fresh take on making recruitment more personal and effective. Let’s lead the charge in creating an environment where every driver knows they're essential to our success 🙌 https://hubs.li/Q02nznrj0

The Lady and her Trampers (well all drivers actually!) I’m driven to create positive change for the industry that keeps us ALL moving. 📣 Calling all drivers to RATE, REVIEW, RECOMMEND, and stop accepting 💩
ONE LADY + MANY TRAMPERS = INFLUENCE ( Yes I’ve given myself ‘ladylike’ status, but hey ho, it’s my post 😉) So, over the weekend, this ‘lady’ joined a forum dedicated to the awesome driving folk who ‘tramp’ for a living 🚛 😴 For anyone not familiar with the term, let’s give it some context: “Unlike local or regional haulage, where drivers return home at the end of each day, tramping involves drivers spending multiple nights away from home, sleeping in their trucks.” A job not for the faint hearted! There are over 44,000 people in this forum, and that’s an impressive collective. A group that would fill half of Wembley Stadium 🏟️ But these 44,000 people all work independently of one another, and that’s why places and platforms that unite them are so important. The reviews are starting to build on MyTruckStop. Collective data has influence… No one wants to be at the bottom of a leaderboard! But this isn’t an exercise in just ‘naming and shaming’. Drivers are one of THE MOST POWERFUL workforces in the country… but often one of the quietest. This lady wants ‘her trampers’ to use their voices loudly and repeatedly. If these good men and women of the road stopped doing their job, there’d be a national outcry. Yet all too often they are treated like something you’d scrape off your shoe. Enough! This lady and her trampers are getting noisier. It’s time to start listening! #People #HR #Transport #TruckingIndustry #Drivers 📸- Facebook

Playing games during office hours is a waste of time? What do you think? For us, is far from a waste of time. Instead, it's our way of bidding farewell to the past week and welcoming a new one. The real winner isn't any individual, but the entire team. This team-bonding activity is a strategic investment in morale and productivity. By letting their hair down and engaging in friendly competition, the WEFIRE crew strengthens their camaraderie and unity. It's a chance to recharge before diving into the next workweek, fostering an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves and supporting one another. While the rest of us may see it as goofing off, the WEFIRE team knows the real value in this ritual. It's not a waste, but a way to build the tight-knit, energized group dynamic that fuels our success. A little fun goes a long way in boosting morale and, ultimately, The bottom line! #workplacefun #camaraderie #teambonding #wefire #sippline Warrier Electronics - WEFIRE Sippline Warrier Sicura Pvt Ltd

Helping CEOs and Companies Unleash the Full Potential of Their Teams Through Dynamic Speaking Engagements, Actionable Advising and Hands-on Consulting with Interim Roles.
The only way to avoid your biases is to have multiple points of view on your team who are comfortable being themselves and trust you. If you don’t have people in both camps it’s because you either hired/promoted wrong or your team doesn’t trust you and therefore keeps their thoughts to themselves. Smile for the Camera! 📷 Such a fun day filming yesterday at our StarTrack Facility in Minchinbury! Throughout the day, our crew were interviewing a variety of employees comprising of drivers and freight handlers. We loved hearing about their role, why they love it and why they would recommend the role to others! Our aim? To allow you to hear what our workplace is like from people who are actually doing the job! I hope that job seekers find this helpful and it encourages individuals from all walks of life to apply for a role in Transport. It truly is a fantastic role. The problem? 🧐 Did you know there is a shortage of truck drivers on the road all over the world, not just in Australia? The contributing factors include: - Ageing workforce - Many experienced drivers are reaching retirement age, and there hasn't been a sufficient influx of younger drivers to replace them. - Regulations - Lack of appeal to the younger generation - Work/life balance - Pandemic Impact - The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated existing challenges within the transportation industry, including disruptions to supply chains, fluctuations in demand, and concerns about health and safety on the job. A failure to address these issues can create further disruptions and delays to our supply chain. With this said - Without trucks, Australia Stops. Our plan? 📝 - Create a better awareness to combat the perception of what it is to work for Transport! Utilising social media platforms to engage with diverse audience segments will enable us to broaden our reach, attracting a larger pool of individuals to explore opportunities within the transportation sector. - Vox pop has emerged as a social media trend, celebrated for its ability to generate interactive, genuine, and immediate responses to inquiries. Leveraging this approach, we've conducted interviews with our employees, capturing unfiltered and authentic perspectives. Our aim is to reinforce a true perception of frontline staff through these candid exchanges. - Implementing a transport pathways program. No truck license? No worries! We've assembled a committed team to provide candidates with the necessary support, training, and confidence essential for safe road delivery. While we are prioritising our internal candidates first, we will look into rolling this out externally soon. And many more projects soon to be announced, stay tuned! What you can do to help? 🫵 With all the recruitment challenges we face today, the long-term significance of the transportation sector for future generations remains uncertain. Whether you're actively seeking employment, involved in recruitment, a former colleague, or simply stumbled upon this message, we encourage you to engage with it. To our competitors, let's work together in revitalising the industry. Together, we can lead the way and aim for a brighter future for our communities! #oneteam #auspost #startrack #transport

Senior Global HR Executive, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & Chief People Officer - Expert at leading HR transformations and building best-in-class HR organizations that drive winning cultures.
It is this time of the year, when many people start a new role. Amazing that only 12% of the companies are doing a great job in onboarding their new employees. With this short summary I just want to create awareness that: 1) 21% of new hires leave within the first 180 days. Hiring is expensive 2) Distributing work from missing resources to top performers will lead to frustration. 3) A good onboarding, continuous communication and welcome culture increases productivity of a new employee. 4) A good onboarding increases employer brand and attractiveness. Please keep in mind. "We are a very complex organization" is not an excuse for a bad onboarding. www.zellconsult.com #onboarding #leadership #hr #hrconsulting #hrbp #hrcommunity #recruiting
