I have been part of the development and maturation of several software categories in my career. These are arduous journeys that require unnatural amounts of stamina. Along the way, I look for clues that the category has longevity. These could be increasing customer and investor interest, social proof like G2 and TrustRadius, and an increase in vendor entrants. There is another important marker on this journey and that is the first full buyer’s report from one of the major analysts. Today, we have that marker: Forrester has released their first Forrester Wave for Customer Success Platforms. Congratulations to my teammates at ChurnZero, who worked hard to get us the 🏆 TOP SCORE for our offering. Congrats to Nick Mehta and Gainsight for their pivotal role driving the origination, growth, and maturation of #customersuccess. And heroic thanks to Shari Srebnick, who led the Forrester Wave - a tough, likely thankless, but important endeavor for our ecosystem. 11moWhat a classy status post too - a CEO that publicly recognizes contributing factors; congratulates a top competitor; and a personalized note about the lead analyst involved.
